We are happy to offer this 1959 Nash Metropolitan Convertible. These cars are super cute and gather tons of attention and smiles wherever they stop or park and this one is finished in ones of the Metro's most desirable colors. pink!
Its pink over Frost White exterior is in overall good condition but there is a blemish on the right front fender. The windshield is in similar good shape. clear and crack-free. This small car's lights are in similar good stead. According to its VIN. this particular car was made in February 1959.
January 1959 saw the start of Metropolitan Series IV (NK4) production. This major redesign saw the addition of an external decklid (previous models only allowed access to the trunk through the rear seat back) and vent windows. By this time. the 1. 5L engine had been upgraded by increasing the compression ratio from 7. 2:1 to 8. 3:1. giving an output of 55 horsepower. The additional features added 15 pounds to the weight. Exterior color options were the same as for Series III. The interior now used a diamond pattern for the seats. with white vinyl trim. The MSRP for Series IV models was $1. 72. 60 (Hardtop) and $1. 96. 80 (Convertible).
It rolls on tires with factory wheel covers with pink beauty rings. All of the car's body panels are straight and solid. its engine bay is very tidy and the bumpers are in very good order. Note: that the speedometer and odometer are inoperable. Its white folding top is in overall good shape but shows some minor blemishes.
Inside. the white bench seat is in very good shape. the black floor mats are in good condition. as is the black metal instrument panel. The original. two-spoke steering wheel faces the driver.
The Metropolitan marked the first time an American-designed car was exclusively marketed in North America yet built entirely in Europe by the Austin Motor Company in England. The Metropolitan was also one of the first cars intentionally marketed toward American women.
Micro cars have etched out their own niche in the classic car community and the Metropolitan is the American original. Excellent examples like this '59 Metropolitan have become highly collectible and values keep rising due to their staying power and never-ending cuteness with all generations!
Competition to this Nash in 1959 included Volkswagen's Beetle.
This car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis. Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 23. 04 miles since the gauges were tested and reset. It is sold as is. where is. on a clean and clear. exempt mileage title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!

MotoExotica. com is a licensed bonded dealer through the state of Missouri. We have been in business since 1988 selling high end. special interest. pre-owned and exotic vehicles.
With the advent of the Internet and EBay Motors. we have found an avenue that allows us to sell cars we normally purchased for ourselves. We have owned just about every exotic and luxury car known to man; such as ISO Grifo to Jaguar XKE. Lamborghini Countach and Rolls Royce.
In the past. these cars were sold primarily through Hemmings Motor News and through word of mouth. We would normally keep a car and enjoy it personally for 6 – 18 months. However. with listing cars on EBay Motors. our turnover has tremendously increased. Now. the average time we hold a car is 4 – 6 weeks!
With the increase in turnover has come the increased need of fine automobiles. We are constantly looking for exceptional cars and travel the country coast to coast in search of the rare and unusual. We find our cars through individuals like yourselves as well as classic car and dealers auctions. We do not purchase vehicles that we would not be proud to own ourselves.
For a quote on shipping anywhere in the world. please feel free to email us at sales@Motoexotica. com or call 636-600-4600. We will give you an estimated cost for open and enclosed transport or overseas. We are happy to accommodate our international buyers! from Gwendy, dated 24 june 2017
Love this lil Nash! Is it in running condition?? We have a small business called the Pink Ladies and it would be a perfect car for some of our events but it does need to be in running order. If not operable what would you guess it would take to get it in running order?
