If you are looking for a Classic Car that is affordable and fun to drive you should take a look at this 1975 Cadillac Eldorado Coupe.  The Eldorado Coupe is a very affordable Classic Car for anyone wanting to own a piece of Detroit history without breaking their bank account over it.  You can research the 1975 Cadillac Eldorado online so I wont repeat all its specs etc here.

General Condition

I bought the car about 12 months ago and took it to a local mechanics shop. I was pleasantly surprised at how solid the underneath is and how much work has been done on the car.

All the major components  you see under the car - framework. axles. ball joints. steering mechanism. exhaust system. front and back suspension. brake calipers. pipes etc are in great condition.

A lot of extra work has been done since by local 'classic vehicle' mechanics as well as by Cadillac themselves. It looks stunning in original Firethorn red and you will find lots of people looking and commenting on the car when you are driving it.

The car starts and runs very well. Transmission functions normally and changes as expected without noise or hesitation. Overall the car drives normally and is driven almost every week subject to weather.

Like many vehicles from the 70's ownership and mileage history is difficult to authenticate.  The mileage on the odometer shows 15. 00 miles.

The car is registered in British Columbia Canada and located in White Rock BC.

The vehicle meets the provincial requirements for Classic/Collector Car qualification which stipulate conditions for age. originality and vehicle condition. In BC collector cars qualify for reduced insurance premiums so annual comprehensive insurance is approx $300.

Typical questions I have been asked:

Does it start and run ok?

Yes. I drove it from BC Canada to Florida. only issue I had was a wheel bearing fail in Arizona. hence both fronts were changed there.

Does it blow smoke?

No it does not blow smoke

Does it burn oil?

No it does not 'burn oil'

Any fluid leaks?

There is a small oil drip but nothing major

Are those hubcaps original?

No they are not. probably off a Cadillac Brougham

What about those plastic/rubber body filler pieces that fall apart?

The filler components fail over time because the original rubber/plastic material ages out and cracks. Replacements are available that are made from ABS. For example the rear bezels around the taillights have been replaced with ABS versions.

Does the A/C work?

No. it needs recharging.

Do all the electrics work ok?

Yes they all work normally

Does the radio and antenna work?

Yes but the 8 track is intermittent

How do I import this car into the US?

Its relatively simple and well described online

Complete EPA and DOT forms EPA 3520-1 and DOT HS-7

Vehicles over 25 years old are generally EPA and DOT exempt

Submit the above forms with title at a Port of Entry.

You receive form 7501 to take to the DMV to register in your state

Obviously I can help you with the import and shipping arrangements.
