1953 Ford Crestliner-Sunliner Covertible not a 1955 chevrolet convertible

Up for auction is a 1953 Ford Crestline-Sunliner with a 1954 Ford Glass Hood.   Very Rare.   Very nice looking car. 50th anniversary FORD  Car

Car is completely undercoated and the electric top works .   Radio lights up. but does not play.  

Car still needs some finishing touches.   Needs to have some body work done and new  paint  to be a SHOW CAR. s it has chips and scratches and there are bubbles coming through the paint on the bottoms of the doors. It was painted  10-12 years ago.   Paint job is still very presentable and very sharp and is fine for a daily driver.   Car set disassembled for 25 years. It needs a trunk lock and a oil sending unit. It needs a latch on passenger vent window. it also needs a boot cover for the convertible top. It has a new sending unit in gas tank that needs adjustment as guage is not accurate. It also needs adjustment to its doors and hood. A lot of the work has been done.

 This car sounds great when running.   Dual exhaust sounds great!   Car has 225 miles put on it since new speedometer was installed. I don't know original miles.

The rare hood is from a 1954 ford glasstop.   One hood  was sent to each 1950"s ford dealer in the united states . It was to be painted the color of the car and used as a display to show the new engine of the 1954 ford. There are not very many of these so this makes them very rare and a great conversational piece. This car has had a lot of the hard work done and would not take much to put it in great condition. The reserve is low for what the value of the car would be with a little more fixing. I tried to make sure I had everything covered for what it needed. The car looks great going down the road and gets lots of looks. Like we said before the paint looks good for a driver but could use a touchup or new paint to be a real good show car.   We have done and sold a lot of cars on e-bay and are very honest as you can see by our rating. We are willing to take a 1967 or 1968 Camaro RS SS in on trade or a very nice Classic pickup . like a 1955 chevy or 1956 ford. This car is for sale locally so I may end the sale at anytime.
