Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.15) based on 214 votes

Up for sale is my 1968 GT/CS California Special. Only 4118 produced in the only year available (1968). This is an extremely solid car that came from factory with the 289ci engine and a C-4 auto transmission. inted glass and factory air. The factory original color is the rare Pebble Beige with standard black interior

As you can see from the pictures its a project and  you can see the laser staright body panels before the car was sealed primered (Pictures of car after high quality primer are also included) This Mustang still has the original floors. riginal quarter panels trunk floor and untouched cowl due to the fact that it came from California and part of its life was spent in Nevada. The car sheetmetal speaks for itself. I bought this car as project and it now has the following included in the sale:

1 Dynacorn passenger door shell

1 new Dynacorn T/S hood

2 Ford tooling fenders

1 nos side scoop

Fiberglass trunk lid(Used original from a GT/CS)

2 decklid extensions(Used originals)

Metal taillight panel(Used original)

Fiberglass tail light panel:(used original)

1 NOS rear valance

On its way to the Restoration shop the car fell from the transport truck head first and suffered front damage. The restoration shop took the car to a frame shop and was properly aligned and then proceded to replace the shock tower assemblies(complete set) with brand new parts from Laurel Mountain mustang . He adviced that this was a good time to replace torque box and he did. The shop owner was so impressed with the quality of the parts that he said that this car now is better that when it came from the factory AND also told me that in his 30 years in the restoration business he has never had a car in his shop as solid as this Mustang.

The original engine was partially rebuilt by Car Quest and around $1800. 00 were spent in parts and labor. Its in parts and goes with the car. The original transmission is there but needs rebuild. The interior is mostly complete but needs refurbishing. The back glass is missing.

This GT/CS has the vin plate and a Marti report to confirm its authenticity

There are many extra parts that I have purchased and will include with the sale.

Its missing the grill

NOTE: PICTURES OF CAR PRIMERED ARE INCLUDED. CAR IS NOW READY FOR PAINT!

If you are looking for a nice 1968 GT/CS project that requires NO SHEET METAL or BODY WORK whatsoever and just ready for the paint shop and assembly. his GT/CS should be seriously considered for purchase. It has now all the correct fiberglass parts and will be included with sale.  I have followed the California Special market for over 13 years now and you can buy a project GT/CS in the 4k-8k price range and when you start to strip the paint off the car you will probably find that it needs 5 to 7k worth of sheet metal and rust repair . With this project you know what you are getting from the start When was the last time you saw a 45 year old mustang that still has the original quarters. loorpans. runk floor and untouched cowl PLUS the original engine and transmission?

I have a clean title and Marti report (included in pictures)

I will sell WORLDWIDE but you will have to arrange your own transportation from Lakeland Florida

If you want to schedule an appointment to see the car please e mail me so I can advise the restoration shop beforehand

I will answer all questions quickly and honestly so please e mail all through E bay
