Rarely seen in such beautiful condition is this wonderful 1973 Mercedes Benz 300SEL 4. 5 finished in the classic combination of Silver paintwork exterior and Dark Red MB-tex interior. The car is a wonder to drive and just stunning to look at. She has an excellent older repaint in its original color which is simply superb with straight bodywork and no dings or dents and newly reupholstered and padded front and rear seats. The engine starts right up and runs super-smooth. transmission glides and changes effortlessly. The steering is tight with no play and the air suspension operates correctly with no sagging having been rebuilt by renowned restoration experts Buds Benz here in Georgia. The odometer works correctly and shows 55K miles which I am sure means 155K. All woods are in great condition as is the light-gray headliner and dark red carpeting. The car is fitted with power windows and original cold-blowing air conditioner. The sliding heat controls have been replaced with new fittings (an expensive process as most of you know) and all dashboard lights replaced and in operating order. The Becker Grand Prix radio was removed and sent to Becker for rebuilding and works as new. The chromework is good with no pitting or rust. A Georgia car its entire life this 300SEL is totally rust-free with solid underbody and trunk well. with spare wheel. jack and tool-set. books and manuals. Fitted with like-new Bundt wheels and new tyres and sold with the original metal hub caps should the new owner wish to change back to the original spec. I can not overstress how solid this car is with no evidence of rust in all the typical places. All the jack points are solid and never rotted out. I purchased this vehicle over a year ago then spent over $12K to bring her to its current magnificent condition. Unfortunately my personal circumstances have changed (not financial) and have decided to sell the car.
