One Owner to this day . 1st time ever listed for sale !!!! Possibly the best 36. 00 mile 86 GT in existence. This car looks like it has only 3600 miles . This vehicle has been out of regular driving duty for almost 3 decades as original owner and his wife are Mustang Enthusiasts to the core . owning several highly awarded Mustangs ranging in years from the 60's to the mid 2000's

The owners have mixed emotions about selling their baby . but life dictates changes and this Mustang is being sold to a new owner to nurture and care for.

Their dedication to keeping their cars in immaculate condition has garnered this couple literally a wall full of trophies and plaques from over 3 decades of showing their Mustang collection at local. regional and national Mustang Club of America shows. The owner is a certified MCA  Judge in practically all years of Mustangs and along with his wife. are fanatical about care. detail . and cleanliness of their collection.   They almost NEVER sell one of their collection but today I am listing one of their preciously cared for Fox Body Mustangs that they purchased new from Terry Fisher Ford ( formerly Tom Casavely Ford) of Bridgeton Mo  in 1986 . All original paperwork. Bill of Sale documents. window stickers. production inspection stickers. etc has all been saved and is in binders for display and protection. and will go to new owner

This car is truly one of the best around . regardless of odometer reading. The only items that have been changed are tires. oil and filter . air filter. spark plugs. and battery. and out of these items . owner kept original tires. RARE ORIGINAL WHITE CASE BATTERY ( now for show) and orig. spark plugs. Oil and filters had been properly discarded/recycled. This car has actually had point totals above normal high point totals due to the fact of bonus points for extensive documentation . actually +8 points instead of deductions. very unusual indeed. shown in the prestigious MCA "Unrestored Class". very tough to gain awards due to the fact the cars have to be extremely original and in top condition to be considered for "Awards of Excellence " . which this car has several of those accolades from different show venues

This car is a consistent MCA Gold Award Recipient also 

It has a newer set of CORRECT Goodyear Eagle 225/60VR15 Gatorbacks that

cost around $1000 for these correct type tires. As mentioned above . have original tires too  

Many of you reading this listing now have seen this 86 GT displayed at the MCA shows over the last 30 years and have marveled at the owner's ability to keep this car original while driving it just enough to keep all mechanicals in perfect order. This car has been photo'd extensively due to it's originality and has been used as a benchmark for judging 1986 Mustang GT authenticity requirements. also having been featured in Mustang Times Magazine in 2015

The paint is original . and as close to perfect as can be expected with having 36K miles( miles that were mainly driving this car to shows over the last 30 years) . without rust or accident damage. The painted window moldings and trim is as nice as when it was new and the body side molding is in the same condition. what else can I say about it's condition .

Factory Bright Red with Gray Cloth interior. the interior is flawless. That is a strong statement for a 31 year old Mustang interior but it is a fact

The famous 5. 0 engine powers this beauty and is coupled to the Automatic Overdrive Transmission and power to the ground is enhanced via special order 3. 27 with Traction Loc. Original A/C is converted to R134A

The Fox Body Mustangs are trending up quickly and your chances to add a quality 1986 GT to your collection are rapidly declining as Ford collectors have realized the trend and are gobbling up these Mustangs as they become available with some examples fetching prices in the $35-70K range at high profile auctions .
