1959 Mercedes 220S 4 door sedan. This car was owned by a Mercedes mechanical shop owner  of 40 years. that is selling the car due to health reasons. The car has been maintained mechanically for the 20 plus years of ownership and drives well. I drove the car for 300 miles this last weekend with 38 miles cruising down a highway at 80 MPH at 4K RPM. The car drives solid with no loose steering or suspension around corners with no rattles. The car will start right away with the choke needed during the winter cold startup and runs smoothly after warmed up on the highway.  The car had new leather seats. carpet. paint job. body weather stripping/seals and wood work done in 1989. Works; speedometer. clock. windshield wipers. headlights. blinkers. backup lights. dash lights. radio. interior lights. lighter. fuel gauge. Does not work; Horn. Can not figure how to work. heater? The car has come out of 7 year storage and runs pretty good considering the old fuel. Car comes with tire jack. lug wrench. nbsp;spare wheel and tire. The plastic front interior center console cover is original and has a hole and crack on the passenger side. The breaks system works well with the exception of the pedal needing to be pumped twice in the first day drive. The body shows no rust under the car. in the wheel wells or on the body. The paint could use a buff to clean the film off from sitting in the shop. My friend wants to sell his shop of 30 plus years parts of 190 sedan and 220 (1956-54). starters. generators. distributors. fuel injections. engines. transmissions. drive shafts. body and much more. The car can be used as a daily driver.
