1970 Mercedes 280S - Vintage Benz Collector Sedan

The GOOD- Tobacco Brown exterior with uncommon beige texture interior. - More economical 6-cylinder 180HP engine that runs great with no noises or leaks.  - Starts right up the first time every time. - Very clean and straight body repainted by first owner in 2006 and still looks great.  - All original interior right down to the carpets! Has cocoa floor mats over the carpets front and rear.  - Cooper Trendsetter radial whitewall tires with 80% to 85% tread remaining. - Original Becker radio and Owner's Manuals. - 5-digit odometer shows only 09. xx miles but I'm sure it's gone around at least once. Please note that this is a 43-year old car. - Original trim. badges. emblems. and chrome - and the chrome looks great!- 4 original wheel covers. repainted in 2006 when the body was done. - Floor pans both inside and underneath are very clean. - Headlights. tail lights. turn signals. brake lights. dash board lights. vanity and dome lights. ignition key buzzer all work fine. - 4 power windows. all dash gauges. windshield wipers. horn. all door locks and trunk lock. all work fine with the exception of the clock. - The main dash board wood is in great condition but the strip at the base of the windshield has oxidized and needs to be refinished. - Very decent headliner with no rips or tears. just slightly age-toned and/or yellowed. - Newer brakes by the 2nd owner work fine. - Newer battery. - Tire tools and a good spare in the trunk.
The BAD- Factory Air Conditioning works but only blows luke-cool to luke-warm but at least it blows - might only need a freon charge but I honestly don't know. - Becker Radio works but the station tuning knob doesn't work so all you get is static unless you drive into an area with a station where the radio is currently tuned into.  
The UGLY- There are some rust bubbles starting to form under the paint. - There is rust behind the left front wheel and on the rear driver's-side door above the sill trim. - Has a single. small. crack in the dash pad which is an easy fix. - The door window wood trim on the driver's door has started to delaminate near the vent window - all other door window wood trim is fine. - There is a hairline crack on the driver's side stop light lens. - The door panel on the driver's door has a worn spot where the driver's elbow would rest while cruising. - Some normal. minor flaws. blemishes. and dings in body and/or chrome when you're a foot away. most of which are virtually invisible from 10 feet away.
RECENT REPAIRS:- Resurfaced cylinder head and new gasket - New engine mounts- New fuel filter and hoses- New radiator hose- New V-belts- New spark plugs. distributor cap. ignition rotor. points. spark plug wire set- All fluids replaced
