After a few inquiries I want to make it clear that this car is not a complete frame off restoration. ather a nicely restored original carWith new paint. nterior. ebuilt motor and many new parts as well as original one that were in good condition. With respect to the motor it has the large #8 on the drivers side cylinder head which should indicate 1968 production yearThe motor # should be on the cast oil tube on the block in years 1968 through 1971 but is not visible there nor do we see a number behind the power steering pump so while we are sure the motor is original we cannot verify this fact. It's a beautiful car that drives and runs great Hope this clarifies.

Spent several hours doing more research after finding some casting numbers on the block yesterday According to my current finding I now believe the motor was manufactured in 1975 and therefore is not the original motor but it is an Oldsmobile Rocket 350. Sorry for the confusion but the info we had used before was incorrect and we had been told it was the motor that came in the carStill a wonderful classic car
