 Ultra Rare and desireable 1950 Oldsmobile 88 Two Door Sedan with Charles Kettering designed 303 V8 Engine with Dual Exhaust and  Hydramatic Transmission.
This car is basically a New Mexico barn find. Stored many years but not left forgotten. It was started periodically and not left to languish
We obtained the car from a gentleman who claimed the car was stored for over thirty years. We were reluctant but given the amazing condition of the outer body and undercarriage were remotely interested when he started the car with a turn of the key and a push of the start button. we knew instantly that this was something very different and special! Look it over!

               

The Car is originally an Arizona Car and has not been tagged since 1972. The Original color was Alder (light) green but received an overspray/color change obviously years ago. The paint is peeling along the trim and beltline. because obviously it was an economical paint job from decades ago. and trim was not removed.
Which is typical of cars of this vintage. The 303 Rocket 88 engine starts right up and runs perfect with no smoke or inordinate blowby. The Hydramatic
shifts up and down as it should and neither the engine or tranny show any major drips or leaks. The running light work. Turn signals work sometimes as do brake lights. I would plan on cleaning connections and going over the car with wd40 etc! We intalled a new 6 volt battery. spark plugs and went through the brakes which appeared too have all new parts and newly turned drums. Bearings looked good and all were repacked with grease. Stainless trim and chrome bumpers are way above average for a 64 year old unrestored car and both shine. Oil bathe portion of air cleaner is in trunk and complete. all four steel wheels and orig hubcaps are included with grinder whitewall tires shown. Interior is old and somewhat brittle but there. Car is 100% complete!
Not another 6 banger Chevy. a very different drive and feel! Undercarriage is amazing and solid but both driver and pass side "flat floors" have a couple of soft spots. but would not warrant replacement in our opinion.
