this is my 1988 Austin mini. i have owned it for 5 years in which I rebuilt it over 4 years turning it into a street racer/miglia replica. br>the car was totally stripped down and any welding done. no filler filling!
rebuilt both subframes and painted them red. fitted hilos suspension and spax shortened shock absorbers. with mini sport 4 pot calipers with vented discs and braided hoses on the front.
list of modifications to the shell:
removed and smoothed bumper fittings.
removed rear seat.
tubbed rear arches and cut front arches.
weber box in engine bay.
rear cabin pockets removed.
inside door panels removed.
and then it was resprayed gun metal grey.

there is a long list of parts replaced:
Peter Vickers 1380 race built engine. SW7 cam. stage 4 head. weber 45. 7" manifold. large bore maniflow exhaust. magneto ignition. jack knight straight cut gear box 4 speed. 3. 44 4pin diff (acceleration)1. 5 roller rockers. silicone hoses. high torque starter. when peter built the engine for me he had to find over sized valves and cut them down because the inlet ports were so big : D. and then all the other bits like baffled sump. centre oil pick up. crank bearing support. lightened balanced crankshaft.

the engine peter built for me was a second hand engine but since rebuilt it has done less then 1000miles and hasn't been on the track! it had an oil and filter change the day before the London to Brighton this year then after that I haven't used it. hence reason of sale.

other list of parts: aluminium 4 gallon race tank with solid state fuel pump. polycarbonate windows all round. full bolt in rollcage. high amp battery. 7x13 ultralights in matt black with red pinstripe. miglia arches. adjustable camber front and rear also adjustable tie rods.
