im not trying to set the record for the most times someone has sold an item and it not actually leave. and i have heard every excuse in the book i sometimes think. but this is the exact message i received from the winner of me 3rd auction on this car. copied and pasted straight out of my inbox.
New message from: johnnylee (0)I'm just getting over pneumonia not able to make the trip love the car love to see it have it up here with me pay you but I cannot make the trip or shipping at the next buyer have it sorry thank youguys. ebay is not a video game. if your just dreaming of owning a car and dont have the money please dont bid.
Maybe the 3rd time is the charm. I have sold this car twice now and both auction winners showed up. The trouble is that they both had the same idea. even with my pictures and description that the car would need to be loved as is or be stripped and repainted completely. Both came with the thought in their mind they could just do the affected areas. Well guys if that is your thought this is for you. YOU CANT!!! The paint on the car is very thick. believe it or not I would say poster board thick. Who knows how many coats they must have put on it. So again if you are remotely thinking you are the one that can please either come look at it before the auction ends so you don't ruin the auction for someone else. The last winning bidder went over the car with a fine tooth Combe. Drove it for ever and loved it but wanted to renegotiate the price because the car must be painted.

I'm relisting this car and below this paragraph is my original description. My friend brought me this car about a month ago. There were people all over this car the entire time it was here. After it sold I had numerous people offer more than it sold for but I held it for 3 weeks until the winning bidder could come down from New York to pick it up. after reading my description below you won't believe this but he did not want the car because IT MUST BE PAINTED! The car is beautiful but the paint Either must not bother you as it is or it will have to be stripped and painted. I don't know what part he missed. the pictures or my description but you would have thought he seen neither and  I don't want to go through that again. Also the car is now back at the owners home and can be seen at the pharmacy in downtown Nocona. Texas which is @ an hour north of Dallas.

This vehicle belongs to a very good friend of mine that lives 5 hours from from me. he was coming down for a visit and his paint on his car had some issues he wanted me to look at. im not exactly a paint expert but i do know a little more than the average bear. my dad always said i knew just enough to be dangerous. the car was built at several years ago when they were still using lacquer paint on show cars. and when it ages it gets what they call checking and will crack. there are 4 or 5 spots on the car that are doing this and i took close up pictures of it which i dont know if you can see. he is a oil tycoon from the 1980's and is very picky. he asked me what he should do. i told him he had in my opinion 3 viable options. the paint is absolutely beautiful other than these flaws so i said his first option was to love it like it is. the second option would be to paint it and all the shops i know of that could make the car look as nice as it does now would keep the car at least a year and would charge at least 20k but my best suggestion would be to sale the car to someone that would love the car exactly as it is. and he took my best suggestion. and this is the absolute only reason the car is being sold. other than the paint flaws the car is stellar. with the negative out of the way let me tell you. this car is absolutely beautiful. all the chrome is fantastic. it has custom wheels with tires that look like they have hardly any wear. the interior is also top notch. the leather seats are super comfortable. it has cold a/c. the headliner is super tight. the center console looks like belongs in the car not just something stuck in it. it has working power windows. tilt steering column with custom steering wheel.  when you pop the hood. just like the rest of the car you can tell that someone spent alot of time and plenty money everywhere on this car. lots of attention to detail. every bolt you see is stainless and you can tell were all new when the car was built. from the very nice chrome core support to the aluminum radiator. a/c condenser and the very nice chrome grill. there is enough chrome in the motor compartment to dress it up but not so much that you dont know which piece to rub on next. its got plenty of aluminum jewels in the form of pulleys. electric fans to keep it cool. its not a race car by any means but its not a slouch either. as you can see from the few pictures that the bottom of the car is just as detailed as the rest of it. it is obvious that the car went through a complete frame off restoration. the report that i got was that at the time it was done there was @75000 spent on the car and anyone that has done it knows that it adds up fast. now for the best part. enjoying it! this is a car you can get in and hit the road. it just made a 5 hour trip to get here yesterday. he takes the car on a couple of different cruises every year. he drives it from texas to biloxi. mississippi for the cruisin the coast event and if you dont know about that event you need to immediately google it and be there this year and this is the perfect car to get there in. the car easily starts right up. the car easily idles with or without the a/c on. it runs and drives fantastic. it runs fine on pump gas but with the lower grade stuff under hard acceleration it will ping a little. it definitely likes higher octane. the transmission shifts smoothly but firmly. it is a very smooth. excellent driving car.  i urged him to let the market set the price and sale the car at NO RESERVE which is exactly how i sale everything i list. he is a realist and understands that is the best way. i am a texas dealer but i am selling this for him so i will need to know exactly when you will be here to get the car because he will have to make the 5 hour trip to be here to meet you because the transaction will be between you two. BUT AS EVERYTHING I SALE. IF YOU are not COMPLETELY 100% SATISFIED with the car when YOU  get here and inspect it to your complete satisfaction. just leave it here and owe nothing. really IF YOU DONT LOVE THE CAR MORE THAN THE MONEY. JUST LEAVE IT HERE. PAYMENT DUE IN FULL WITHIN 7 DAYS AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS! we only have two accepted methods of payment. you can either bring U. S. currency with you when you come or pay by bank wire. there will not be ANY other method of payment accepted. BECAUSE WE SALE EVERYTHING AT A REAL NO RESERVE. they dont all make a profit and because of the loss my friend will be taking i wont ask him to pay me a dime so as with all my ebay listings. we charge a transaction fee of $250. PLEASE TAKE DUE NOTICE OF THIS AND FACTOR IT INTO YOUR BID.  anyone wanting to buy the car sight unseen and having the car shipped. your ONLY payment option will be bank wire. i would prefer that you hire a professional 3rd party to come fully inspect the car to your personal satisfaction because when the car leaves here you will own it and any concessions will not be considered. with that being said we will do anything we can to make the sale easy for you. my local shipper charges $1. 75 per loaded mile from my door to yours. with him it wont be making the national tour on a transport truck before it gets to you. depending on where your located the owner may possibly bring it to you but i wont commit him to the trip or a price. either way the car and shipping must be paid in full before it leaves here.

I have been informed the exact correct model this car was called when it left the assembly line was a 210 sedan.

I have never had so many prospective buyers come see a vehicle I have on eBay as I had today. As a result of some interested buyers I had the car at a shop with a lift. 3 different buyers that inspected the car today went home and bid. While the car was on the lift today I did some inspecting of my own. I've had several people asking what the motor was. Well not that I really know much more than I did but I will report what I learned today. It has a 010 block which is more than likely a corvette block and it has a mini starter.

I also noticed it has 18 inch rims up front and 20 inch in the rear.

I had a man contact me that was confused about what his total would be if he won the auction. The winning bidder will pay the final bid price PLUS the $250 documentary fee.
