1973 Camaro Z28 Split-Bumper 4-Speed
The 1970 - 1973 versions of the 2nd generation Camaro are quickly replacing the 1st generation (1967 - 1969) in terms of popularity. and rapidly increasing value.   The 2nd generation goes through 1980. but in 1974 the front clip changed and the car began to look quite different.   The 1970 - 1973 model years are unique. highly desirable. and becoming harder to find.
I have bought and sold a lot of cars. this has been one of my favorites.   Classic American Muscle. well built 383 stroker. v-tech heads. and a close-ratio 4-speed that will pull you back in your seat in every gear.  It handles exceptionally well because of the Hotchkis suspension kit. and the headers and 3" free-flow exhaust sound like muscle.  (CA buyers. this car is smog exempt. )

A true 1973 Chevy Camaro Z/28.   I have the original bill of sale. and a lot of recent records for this vehicle. all of which will be included in the sale.

The interior is black. and is in great shape.  Carpet is new.   I bought the Z/28 floor mats just a few months ago.  (I drive the car 50 miles a month +/-).  I covered the instrument bezel with a carbon fiber covering. which looks great.  The turn signal indicator lightbulbs were both out when I did that. so I put chrome screws where they go (along the bottom of the bezel). I did no damage. however. so the bezel could easily be unscrewed to replace those bulbs.
I moved the oil gauge. nbsp;from the traditional location under the lower dashboard. into the spot where the stock ashtray was located. below and to the right of steering wheel.  I made a bezel for it. and covered that with the same carbon fibre covering.  I have the original ash tray.
I added an amplifier to the stereo. nbsp;which I mounted inside the glove compartment.   I replaced all 4 speakers.  For front speakers. rather than cut up the inside of the car or doors. I made a bezel. covered it with the carbon fibre. used the same chrome screws I used in the instrument bezel. and mounted in below the dash and on top of the transmission hump.   The system uses a standard headphone jack. so I use my iPhone. but any phone or music device with a headphone jack will work. and play though the stereo as "aux".
All the gauges. and everything else in the interior works as it should (except the turn signal indicator lights).  No cracks in the dash. door panels look great. headliner is new.  The driver's seat is splitting a little along the seams. but not enough to be noticeable. in my opinion.   Seat belts on all 4 seats. nbsp;with shoulder harnesses in front.   New windshield. new steering wheel.
The motor is a 383 stroker that has about 7. 00 miles on it.  Edelbrock intake and holly carb.
Factory close-ratio four speed car with a 3:73 possi track rear end.  New radiator. new gas tank. new fuel lines (all the way to the carb). new steering gearbox. new power steering pump and lines. new water pump. new upgraded fuel pump. new battery. new battery cables. new master cylinder.   Exhaust is all new. dynatech headers. Dr. Gas X-Pipe. full 3" pipe all the way back to Spintech box mufflers.  The header gasket on the right side of the engine needs to be replaced; but it does not leak exhaust that I can tell.
This car runs better with an octane additive.   It runs fine on premium. but it produces more exhaust and sometimes will run-on.  I will include a bottle of the octane additive I use.  It is not essential. by any means. but the car is producing so much horsepower it does run better with the additive.
The car does not leak any fluids.  I keep metal pans under all my classic cars. but this one has not needed them.
Upgraded with a Hotchkis TVS pro touring suspension and subframe connectors. new shocks. new poly body mounts. new A-arm bushings. which make this car handle great! It holds the road really well.
New brakes. new u-joints. new clutch.   All fluids are fresh.  17" American Racing Torque Thrust Wheels. nbsp;with brand new BF Goodrich tires - maybe 150 miles on the tires. at the most.
Exterior of the car is great overall.   All exterior lights work property.   Body rust on the rocker panels behind the front wheels will need attention at some point. but you don't see it unless you bend down. and here in San Diego it is dry all the time so I have not done anything about it.  The chassis. floor and trunk are solid: no rust.  The paint is not original. but the repaint was basically the same blue as the original color. so it looks great inside and out.
I have an extra air cleaner and valve covers for this car. which are black.  They will be included with the car. and are in excellent condition.
I have the clear title in hand. the original 1973 bill of sale. and many of the receipts for what has been done on the car.
I have described the condition of the car to the best of my knowledge.  I am a car-guy but I am not an expert.  Please ask any questions.   I will do my best to answer your questions. take more pictures. etc.  I want you to get what you expect to get.
This is definitely an "adult supervision" kind of car. IMO.  There is no way I would allow my teenage sons to drive this car.
A $1. 00. 00 non-refundable deposit through Paypal is due immediately at the end of action.   You must then contact me within 24 hours to make arrangements for full payment.   If not. I reserve the right to sell the car to someone else.  This car will absolutely not leave my possession until I have completely cleared 100% payment funds in my hands.
You can pick up this car in San Diego.   I would drive this car anywhere.  No a/c. but other than that I would not hesitate to take this car on a road trip.  If you want to use a shipping service. I will gladly cooperate.
I reserve the right to cancel this listing at any time prior to completion of the auction. if the car is no longer available.
Thank you.
