1966 Ford Mustang --

1966 Ford Mustang in Springtime Yellow with black pony interior.  6 cylinder engine with automatic transmission.
I bought this vehicle locally last summer for my daughter. The car had been sitting in the previous owners garage for a few months. After I picked up the vehicle with a trailer.  I took it straight to my mechanic.  He worked on it for 3 months going over everything.  He started by replacing the fuel tank. sending unit and fuel line.  Then the starter. battery. leads. and cables.  A new power steering cylinder was also installed.  New pentronix ignition was installed .  Fluids. filters. bulbs. heater cables. etc.  All replaces to make a safe driving vehicle for my daughter.  I wanted to  make sure this vehicle would be mechanically sound and safe for a young female driver.  My first priority was a safe car. second was reliability.  This car is now both.
Here is a partial list of work performed on the car that I can back up with receipts:Replaced fuel tank. fuel line. and fuel sending unit. Replaced spark plugs. and ignition system. Replaced battery. battery leads. and battery cables. Replaced and adjust all brakes. wheel cylinders. pack wheel bearings. Replaced power steering cylinderReplaced heater fan switch. heater cables. vents.
Here is a partial list of parts replaced that I can back up with receipts:Fuel Tank. Fuel Sending Unit. Spark Plugs. Battery. Battery Terminal leads and cables. Starter. Pentronix Ignition. Oil. Oil filter. Oil drain plug. air filter. heater duct. defrost. fan resistor. fan switch. 3 heater cables. front brake shoes. rear brake shoes. wheel cylinders. steering cylinder. radiator cap. bower switch. interior bulbs. fuel filter. cable set.
Exterior:  I have found no rust other than small surface rust.  I have looked under the car. pushed on the carpet over the floor boards. and looked under the trunk mat.  Again. I do not see any rust issues other than surface rust as shown in the pictures.  No major dents.  A few dings all smaller than a silver dollar.  Paint shines up nicely and I would say is a 20 footer.  This car needs a new paint job to be perfect.  Drivers side mirror is loose.  Tires have good tread. but I do not know the age.  I did not purchase the tires on this car.
 Interior:  Pretty much the way I got it other than fixing all the interior lights and heater vents.  No rips or tears in the seats.  Floor mats look newer than the carpet.  Sony radio does not work. but jvc speakers look newer. The vents and vent levers were all reworked or replaced by my mechanic.  The windows roll up slow and could use new felt.  
This car is 51 years old.  Its not perfect.  I have tried to describe the vehicle honestly and to the best of my ability.  The vehicle is available for inspection any day of the week.  Please ask questions via call. text or ebay.  Frank 254-231-5800
I don't know if the drive train is original to the car. but I have no reason or knowledge to believe that it is not the original engine and transmission.  I am trying to verify this.
To take this car to the next level you could replace the stereo. paint the car in its original color. springtime yellow. and start driving it.  Unfortunately my daughter wants something newer and I already have a collection of vehicles. so I can't keep this mustang.  For serious bidders. I would be happy to show the vehicle and/or let you talk to my mechanic.  I am not a dealer. so I will NOT be collecting taxes.  $500 deposit required within 48 hours.  Balance by wire transfer or cash prior to release of vehicle.
The title is a clear Texas title in the previous owners name.  The title is signed by the previous owner.  I can leave it like that or have it transferred to my name for the new buyer.  I am willing to do whatever is best for the new buyer.
