This was our first VW/Audi liquid-cooled engine Intermeccanica Speedster built back in 2011. The engine is a 2. 0 liter. 4 cylinder with 145hp and fuel injection. We put a more aggressive cam in it and also chipped it. The long-stroke of this engine gives it great low end torque making the entire driving experience much more relaxed. This Speedster has the "ultra-chassis" which includes the Porsche strut front suspension. rack & pinion steering. 4 wheel disc brakes and Bilstein gas shocks. This car came with reproduction Fuchs which we just replaced with a new set of reproduction chrome plated steel wheels purchased from Stoddard's. Heat and defrost are now hot water based instead of the air cooled heat exchangers making for a much snugger interior on those chilly days. All Intermeccanica Speedsters feature power operated side windows replacing the side curtains of the original Speedster. Other options on this car: Derrington flat 15 inch wood rim steering wheel with 356-A horn button; full tonneau cover; full leather interior; German square weave carpet with leather binding; stainless steel dash and door panel trim; grab handle on dash; right hand mirror; custom large rear window in low bow top; hidden 12V power port; sport exhaust with ceramic coating in silver.
