1968 Ford Mustang

Beautiful 1968 Mustang convertible.   Everybody loves the color on this one!  I have had the car just a short time but have driven it enough to know its a great driver.   Nothing leaks and everything operates on this car as it should.   Grabbing this car now gives all summer to cruise with the power top down.
DRIVETRAINProbably the original 289 but I have no idea.   This is a "C" code car and the engine runs and idles great.   As I stated. no leaks.   C4 transmission shifts perfectly.   No noise from the rear end and no leaks.   Despite being a "C" code. car has newer dual exhaust that sounds great with a little rumble.   Power steering operating normally.   No signs of overheating.   Had charging system checked and everything working properly.   No info if or when motor was rebuilt.
PAINT AND BODYThis is a true convertible.   Car was originally coded as Gulfstream Aqua Metallic but now is painted Midnight Aqua.   Still a Ford color and. in my opinion. a much richer. more stunning color.   Paint is not show quality but pretty close.   A couple pimples in the clear coat and a couple chips but very nice.   Have extra paint to send with the car.   As full quarters appear to have been replaced there are no quarter ornaments and no rear quarter reflectors.   I will include a set of the ornaments with the car.   Inner fenders and perhaps other panels have been replaced.   The dash and door tags are present.   Doors are rock solid.   Doors open and close as they should. no sagging.   door sills are very nice.   Sides of car show some slight metal wave but still very nice.   Tops of fenders show some waves when you look for it.   Hood and deck lid are perfect.   Frame rails and torque boxes look good.   some prior rust in seat pans but pans appear to have been replaced.   Frame rails are tied as someone was adding additional strength to the undercarriage.   Nice rustproofing on most of undercarriage.  
INTERIORNo rips or tears in vinyl upholstery.   Lights. horn. wipers speedo. radio. and top have no issues.   Newer door panels and brand new Scott Drake seat belts.   no cracks in dash pad.   Aftermarket wood grain steering wheel helps break up the aqua!  Carpet and floor mats good condition.   Comes with a new boot as well.   The white convertible top is newer but has slight tear on passenger side.   Very repairable. check out the photo.
WHEELS AND BRAKESCar has styed steel 14" chrome rims in great condition as were available in "68.   These combined with the raised white letter tires really dress this car up.   This car has and was originally equipped with power brakes.   Brakes work good and car brakes evenly.   Mustang has mostly original suspension i'm guessing as there are a few rattles over bumps to work out.
EXTERIORAll chrome is in new or like new condition.   Bumpers. window trim. taillight bezels. mirrors have no pitting.   Car even has vertical bumperettes.   All glass in good condition with no cracks.   Windows operate front and rear as they should.
