You are bidding on a stunning. restored Porsche 912 engine. Restored to resemble a 356 Super 90 in dove grey by Steve at Jaz Porsche in London.  The engine is a 1968 and has had a full restoration. The inside of the engine is in superb unworn condition and has had some modifications.   The engine is currently in my 1963 Herbie and running on a 356 fly wheel. If you wish to use this in a 356. a sealant is required to the fly wheel to stop any oil leak. If however you wish to install the engine back into a 912. the 356 flywheel will be exchanged for a 912 flywheel which will suit the engine perfectly thus no oil leak through the gland nut. This truly is a remarkable engine and has only covered 1200 miles since restoration. Also fitted with a bespoke exhaust though i can arrange for an original exhaust. Sounds beautiful and plenty of torque. Listed below is the work done. parts and modifications. Shasta 1720 barrels and pistons Neutek sport canshaft for solex carbs Balanced bottom end Conrods rebuilt and sized Rebuilt splitshaft solex carbs Standard heads with new valve guides and springs Detailed tinwear powder coated. an housing painted Dove Grey Powder coated and rebuilt flapper boxes Approx 120hp I can arrange to have the engine delivered should you require at an additional cost. otherwise it is pick up only. NB. Herbie is not for sale. only the Porsche engine
