The vehicle featured here was converted from a 4 door sedan into a 2 door. 2 seat opera coupe by Grandeur Motor Coach Co. Through extensive and high quality body work. the rear doors and seats were removed. then the firewall was moved back. The custom fiberglass front end was extended and includes side mount wheel houses.  It has a stock wheel base which is good because the frame has NOT been cut to lengthen or shorten. The modifications were done before the car was delivered new in 1984 with a full factory warranty off the showroom floor in my home town of Augusta. Ga. ( That is where I first saw it. )  Money was no object to the buyer and the car was intended to display conspicuous consumption. Who ever says that money can not buy happiness just does not know where to shop.  I have been car crazy for 50+ years. have read many magazines. attended countless shows and auctions. and have not seen many examples of this type automobile. The few companies that produced these cars did not keep accurate records ( there was a lot of cash changing hands) and no one I have tried to contact. including leading experts and journalists. seems to really know how many were produced. How many have you actually seen in person?  This automobile is extremely rare and very unique. The quality of the modifications are second to none. and as the photos show. this vehicle is in excellent condition. This car would make a special edition to any collection. Provided this automobile remains in at least  it's present condition. it could be considered an investment which certainly may increase in value as time goes by. Not to mention the enjoyment you will get every time you take it out for a spin! How much is that worth? My insurance company presently values it at $27. 00. 00.  If you are a shy person who does not want to meet new people.  this car is not for you. It attracts a LOT attention every where it goes! What is it? Is it a kit car? What year is it? How much is it worth? Will you finance it? My favorite. often heard comment - " My wife's uncle's friend used to have one just like it. except it was a different color and I think it had 4 doors. And I don't think it had those wheel thingies on the side. " Always a conversation starter.     I am the second owner of this car and have owned it since 1998. The car has been very well maintained since the day is was new. It features power steering. power 4 wheel disc brakes. independent torsion bar suspension. 6 ultra rare Appliance chrome wire wheels. electronic digital climate control. power leather seats. windows. door locks. trunk release. cruise control. AM/FM Cassette with electric antenna. and digital instrumentation.  It has always been covered in a garage and has never been driven in the rain or been involved in an accident. The under carriage looks as good as the rest of the car. The aluminium head 4100 fuel injected gasoline engine was replaced under recall by a factory long block with cast iron heads before I bought it.  All of the fluids have been regularly changed as well as belts. hoses. filters. spark plugs. brake pads. shocks. tc. It has a new AC Delco compressor and blows ice cold air conditioning. The Vouge Tyres are new with less than 200 miles on them. The paint was freshened several years ago (all trim removed - no overspray) - the bright work is original with some signs of patina. This is a Georgia car and has no rust. This car has been lovingly driven and does have a few miles ( less than 3K per year ). I feel that this automotive work of art is in much better condition than the few other examples I have seen for sale. The rare others that I have seen  were either very expensive or in need of major repairs. You could not duplicate this Custom Opera Coupe today for the selling price.  People on E-Bay are very liberal with the words "PERFECT" and "MINT". This car is neither. but considering it's age and mileage this car is in above average condition and is ready to drive and enjoy. This very cool car definitely is the talk of my town and now you have the chance to make it yours.  If you see something you really want. and have never seen another one like it. now is the time to buy it. This is a very nice car and it drives as good as it looks. " The item you are looking at today in order to think about it tonight. might be the same item that some one else looked at yesterday . so they could think about it last night. " Before you send me a long E-Mail expressing your opinion on how much this car is not worth. take a better than average 84' Cadillac Seville to the best body shop in your area. Get them to give you an estimate on completely disassembling the car. cutting it in half. removing the rear doors. building a custom extended fiberglass front clip. and repainting the entire car. Hopefully then you might appreciate what this car really is. It is far from stock and was very expensive to construct. And no. this car is not for everybody. It was designed for a select few who can afford anything they desire.     PLEASE - PLEASE  study the pictures and ask ANY questions or address your concerns  BEFORE you bid. If you or your agent would like to inspect and test drive this car before you bid. contact me and we can make arrangements. I am confident that you will like it.  If you win the bid I will accept $500. 00 ( five hundred dollars U. S. currency )  earnest money through Pay-Pal and the balance will ONLY be accepted in CASH upon delivery. Thanks for your interest and happy bidding!
