1949 Chevrolet Other Pickups

This item is being re-listed due to a non-paying winning bidder. Please review and ask questions prior to bidding - This is an auction so to be fair to everyone and only bid with the intention of buying.  This one of a kind 1949 Chevrolet 3100 Truck will be the hit of your next car show!! Clear title 1949 Chevrolet 3100 sits on a S10 standard cab frame. The frame has been completely cleaned and painted with NO frame damage or cutting and splicing. Once the frame was detailed. a custom mono leaf rear spring was installed with an air bagged sub frame over the factory S10 rear end. Front springs were removed for specific fit bolt-in bag kit. Truck can be dialed in for a smooth cruise height or slammed to the ground at your local car show. Front and rear have new brakes and new front rotors with new brake lines where needed. Brakes are connected to a new modern GM power brake booster and new master cylinder. Steering column and controls are standard GM setup with a custom steering wheel added. Power comes from a stock GM small block 350 with factory intake a 4 barrel carburetor backed up by a smooth shifting 700R4 automatic transmission. Exhaust flows through custom headers and all new exhaust with Thrush two chamber mufflers ( has a very mellow tone and not obnoxious ). Up front is a new custom aluminum race radiator and thermostat controlled electric fan ( no overeat issues at all ). The body is a work of patina art with tasteful aged art and pin striping throughout. Body was selected for its natural patina that was enhanced artistically as you see it. Cab has nice clear glass all the way around with no cracks and all new seals. Windows wind up and down . Truck has new straight running boards with all new custom welded supports. Overall the body is in good condition for a 68 year old truck. The interior has new floors after the cab was channeled over the frame with custom cab mounts and sound deadening foil. Custom upholstery shop added custom carpet and new seat cover to match the interior décor. New headliner and door panels were also installed. After the interior was finished a brand new Vintage Heat/Air system was installed that works great. especially on those hot days. Just got it out of storage and did not even wash it for the photos. Reason for selling is the wife and I are downsizing so some of the toys must go. Wipers work but noticed the speedo not working as I drove it home today. will look into it.
