EXTRA CLEAN 1967 CHEVROLET CONVERTIBLE CAMARO RS SS PACE CAR SIGNED BY AJ FOYT WHO WON THE 1967 INDIANAPOLIS 500!! COMES WITH A 396/375hp FOUR SPEED AND IS A NUMBERS CORRECT CAR!  COMPLETELY RESTORED WITH AN OVER THE TOP RESTORATION!!  THIS CAR WAS ON THE TRACK IN INDIANAPOLIS WITH AJ FOYT INSIDE!! THIS CAR HAS 196 MILES ON IT SINCE THE RESTORATION.

The 1967 was the first year for a Chevrolet Camaro to grace the track of the Indy 500 and it would only follow 3 more times.  The 1967 Pace Camaro was sent to the track with the 375 HP 396 4 speed transmission and with the powertrain being so radical. the speedway asked Chevrolet to detune the vehicle to an automatic transmission. Since then. all pace cars sent to the 500 have been manual transmissions. About 300 of these cars were built and 110 of them were sent to Indy for various duties in May 67. In June of 1967. 21 additional cars were build. one for AJ. along with 10 small block and 10 big block that were sent to Canada. The original 110 Pace cars had a special color code and this is how they were distinguished from the later built dealer cars

During the restoration process when they restored this car. they re-bodied this car to make sure it was the over the top restoration you see here. All the parts were top of the line real GM parts and no money was spared! Prominence on this Camaro is over the top with pictures of Anthony George and AJ Foyt riding in this car at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at their tracks celebration back in 2000. This car was done to be as correct as possible with no shortcuts taken!
