Offered for your consideration is our 1957 Ford Thunderbird resto-mod. in the family for the past 40 years. It started with a rust-free Arizona body and professionally outfitted with a later model Ford drive train in the 70's. a common modification for the car and that time period. While an older restoration. it has been driven approx. 6600 miles since then. including the trip from AZ to its current home in Ohio. with most of it's time spent in the garage and under a car cover. It would make someone a great starting point to freshen-up as a daily driver. or as a platform to either restore or make into your own resto-mod/rod dream car. Yes. this is a running and driving car as-is.

The car was repainted in the mid-70's to the vehicle and period correct Dusk Rose color code. likely with single stage acrylic enamel. The repaint. however. was a semi-amateur job and now shows signs of various touch-ups and crazing in several areas. although it did serve its purpose to protect the car's Arizona rust-free body all these years. The body is relatively straight. with only the usual patina of age and a couple of minor dings noted from garage storage. Inner structure and under panels appear properly edged and jammed. so an exterior-only refinish would likely suffice to spruce this vehicle up to nice daily driver condition. Currently passes as a solid "5 foot car" as-is. Chrome. glass and trim parts are in good usable condition. although select re-plating would required to make it show quality. Interior is nice and clean. although the seat stitching is starting to give way in certain places due to age.
