1986 Porsche 951 Turbo Coupe -
Fully documented original car !

Up for auction is a very nice FULLY documented 1986 Porsche 951 Turbo  with rare red Fuch rims.

I found this car late last year in the Midwest after searching for an original 951 Turbo that was unmolested. documented and in good shape.
They are becoming very hard to find  & going up in value and expected to continue to rise.

The car was a (2) owner car prior to my purchase with the 2nd owner possessing the vehicle for almost 20 years & had been garaged.   The car was and is intact and also has the original Blaupunkt stereo as well.

I have the original Porsche owner's manual. original Porsche warranty and maintenance book (which has the original factory sticker with option codes) & the vinyl booklet holder (see photo) ; I also have the entire history of the car beginning with the original owner & shows it was delivered July 1st 1986 to Porsche dealer #1145 in Zanesville OH.   The service record history is notated in the warranty manual - every receipt on this car dating back to 1986 to present day is intact.   All the vin tags are intact on the car including the original factory sticker in the rear trunk/hatch compartment & windshield.   I also have the original jack. tool kit (fair condition). spare tire. air compressor. hand held vacuum cleaner. sunroof bag.

Something special included with this vehicle is an original 951 Saratoga glass sunroof from the 1980's era with the original sunroof storage bag (excellent condition - see pic) !  These sunroofs are RARE and almost impossible to find !

I also have the original 1986 Porsche showroom sales brochure & mailer for this vehicle which is in mint - exceptional condition with no rips tears or fading !

In 1986 - 7. 13 of these 951 turbo's were imported into the USA.

After having the car shipped I had the water pump. timing belt. rollers. seals. radiator. vacuum hoses all replaced.   ALL THE REPLACEMENT PARTS that went into this car are all German - NO OEM parts! Hose kit was from Lindsey racing.   The fuel filter was replaced with a MAHLE filter. all 4 brake wear sensors were replaced. a new splash guard and original heat shield was installed. new drivers side front fog lens. nbsp; replaced the drivers side rear turn directional. nbsp; new hood struts and 4 new Bosch spark plugs. new heater core hose.   Also installed were 4 new Yokohama S Series tires - all balanced.   The rear wiper motor was removed and the glass hole plugged with a high gloss imported plug from Greece.   Plate holders are carbon fiber design.   New firewall seal was installed - and. the original factory firing sequence decal/sticker was located in the UK & replaced (see photo).

I also have the COMPLETE original factory service manual in its entirety for this car on CD ROM & a Haynes automotive repair guide.    Yet to be installed are (2) one off custom made hood liners with the Porsche logo in red vinyl stickers. and a new urethane front end splitter from a 998 Porsche (see photos) - the car was missing the bat wing front valence when I got it. The car also has a car alarm installed but I have not done anything with it since acquiring the vehicle.

The car runs STRONG - especially between 3-4 gears with exceptional Turbo response.   Currently I'm running it on Castrol 20-50W high mileage oil. phosphate free coolant and high octane fuel.   The car handles great (could use a minor alignment). and has way more horsepower than I need.

Now the bad with the car:  I confirmed the wiper motor has power to the plug but not working ( I have an entire 951 wiper motor and blade assembly replacement which I ordered from Texas which will be included).    Odometer is not functioning but all other gauges are.

Paint - for a 31 year old vehicle the car could use a paint job as it has rock chips. scratches on the rear hatch and rear quarter panel. and a minor push/dent on the lower passenger side front QP just behind the wheel.   The car was detailed recently and had $400 worth of paint touch ups. shows well but would be an exceptional car with a paint job.   The car had been painted in the past as evidenced by over spray seen on the under body.   The car has NO rust or rot and had a brake line flush recently - minor dash cracks which are a given with these cars. I've driven the car maybe 6-7 times since I've begun restoring it and never abused it.   The car could use new stone guard stickers also.

 Included are photos of all the documentation with the car - for a serious collector/Porsche owner this is a must have with these 951's - this car is a FULLY DOCUMENTED ORIGINAL 951 TURBO with the original showroom sales brochure. 1986 mailer/flyer and EVERY receipt for all work done !  In my 20 years in dealing with Porsche this is the only 951 I've seen with red Fuch rims. has full documentation and is original.

Also included will be: (3)new Porsche window switches / set of new sunroof replacement gears (I bought these for stock backups) / Set of (2) Imported classic Porsche Martini racing stickers / Vinyl endorsement stickers by Yokohama. Mahle. Bosch. Fuchs Rims / Carbon fiber black. chrome and red front splitter external mounting hardware and extras.
