1967 Cadillac Eldorado Hardtop Coupe

The 1967 Eldorado. the first year for this stiletto sleek coupe. span >  established a high bar for personal  luxury cars to follow.   The European inspired gran turismo styling. powerful 429 CID V8. and near sports car handling quickly made this model a star in the Cadillac line.   Sales for 1967 topped 17. 00 units and for the next three years the basic razor sharp styling of the Eldorado coupes remained basically unchanged.   The car was a profitable home run for Cadillac and an equally rewarding experience for the buyers of these beautiful automobiles.

Offered for sale is a pristine specimen that remains virtually untouched since its introduction over 45 years ago.   This vehicle was purchased new in California and has been extremely well taken care of by just three owners.   It currently shows just over  68. 00 actual miles on the odometer.   The original Sudan Beige paint was refreshed at one time in the original color. but this car has never had any collision damage and the body is virtually free of flaws.   A close inspection will show very minor evidence of age or wear. and there is absolutely no rust in the body. frame. trunk or floor pans.   The interior. likewise. is all original and shows no rips. tears. stains. or fading.   The carpet is excellent. there are no stains or sags in the headliner. the steering wheel is not cracked. and the dash cap only has one small hairline crack after nearly 5 decades.   Glass. rubber and weather stripping are excellent.   The trunk is spotless and the original jack is in the carton.   The wheel covers are absolutely amazing – no dents or curb rash at all.

This Cadillac is in excellent running condition.   Surprisingly. the 340 horsepower V8 gets moderately good mileage. too.   The engine does not leak or smoke. the transaxle is in top condition. and the brakes. shocks. and steering components have been well maintained.   The radial tires have minimal tread wear after approximately 5000 miles.   Standard luxury appointments for the Eldorado included power windows. power seats. power antenna. power steering. power brakes. tinted glass. AM/FM radio. tilt steering column. and climate control.   The air conditioning compressor is operable. but the AC does not blow cold air. It is not known if there is any leak in the coolant system or if the vehicle simply needs a Freon charge.   Also. the radio is inoperable – it emits a hum. but does not receive any signal.   

1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible

The land barge body style of the  Eldorado droptops – produced from 1971 to 1976 - make them both the largest and one of the most collectible of all the Cadillac convertibles ever made.   Just  units rolled off the assembly line. so that makes the 1976 issue of this model especially desirable.   a mild 190 horsepower 500 CID V8. the car has plenty of torque despite the economy driven designs of late 1970s cars.   This convertible features the front wheel drive transaxle. first introduced in the Fleetwood Eldorado in 1967.   By 1976 this design was well proven and it provides trouble free performance.   Of course. the ride in this convertible is too comfortable for words.   With a wheelbase of 126 inches. the Eldorado is like riding on a cloud.   Except for a limousine. no other car provides this kind of luxury.

This specimen is a low mileage example that has been preserved in excellent condition owned by an active member of the Cadillac LaSalle Club who drives in to local club events and in parades.   The vehicle has approximately 75. 00 actual miles. and it looks and runs like new.   The original red leather interior is in very good condition. free of cracks or tears. but the armrests and dash cover have some splits.   The paint is superb. the red vinyl top is new. span >  the plush carpet is new. and the tires. brakes. shocks. and suspension components show virtually no wear.   The engine compartment is as clean as it was when the car was on the showroom floor.   Compare this convertible to the others of the same vintage on the market and you will find it difficult to believe that there could be such a difference.    Buy this beautiful Eldorado for someone you love for Christmas. or add it to your  collection Cadillac motorcars.  

1984 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible

Approaching 30 years from the date this Triple White beauty rolled off the Cadillac assembly line. this convertible is owned by an active member of the Cadillac LaSalle Club and is driven sparingly to club events or as a parade vehicle.    This is a very well maintained Cadillac that runs great and has a classic style that transcends time.   A close inspection of this outstanding vehicle will reveal no damage. rust. or abuse.   The oil is clean. the air conditioning blows cold. and the fun starts when the top goes down.  

In 1984. the Cadillac Division of GM contracted to have 2000 Eldorado Biarritz Convertibles made. amounting to approximately 1/10th of the total run of the Eldorado model.   Units designated for convertible production were coupes that were modified by ASC.   The detailed workmanship and quality materials used in the top are magnificent.   Buyers of these specially made drop tops knew they were getting the crème de la crème of the Cadillac line.
