1962 Chevrolet Impala SS

Here is a Real Nice 1962 Chevrolet Impala True SS built in Ca. plant. It's a Totally Turn-Key Car. This is a must see. you won't be disappointed. These are hard to find in this condition at this price. If you don't like to be waved at. smiled to. horn blown. thumbs up. pointed at or stopped and talked to. then this isn't the car for you! You will get all of this. This was restored about 13years ago from person I bought it from. I didn't do the restoration. If your looking for a stock unmolested 62 this is the one. This restoration was done right and clean. No chopped up wires or back yard mechanics patching together! It's done right. It's completely Stock right down to the generator. You can't restore a car like this for this price unless you do all the blood sweat and tears yourself and get good deals on parts.

It has Power Windows. Steering. Brakes. 4 Newer Radial WW tires. drum brakes. (which are all good). everything works except the original radio and clock. I have a wireless remote radio and cd player in glove box. Fuel gauge works and is accurate. wipers work. emergency brake. speedo all work It also has One Piece Front and Rear Bumpers that are hard to find and are in excellent condition with NO RUST or pitting what-so-ever. and even the license plate trim is in excellent with NO bends or dings.   There is NO rot or bubbling of paint and is near excellent condition. this car is what I would say a 9 out of 10. It's Not a Barrett Jackson show car but is a real deal nice Cruiser and Local Car show winner. No scratches or dents or chips. It has been repainted to a bright Artic White which I believe is a frame off. The paint is very shiny and all trim is in very good shape and believe is all original (except for the bumpers) Everything matches right down to the body mounts. This was sandblasted before it was painted and they didn't cover the drivers window perfect and it pitted the drivers window glass (as seen in picture) a little in small area at bottom and a very small area on the quarter window. I do have 2 good used door windows. The drivers door window bottom frame is rusted and can be purchased new here on eBay. I have the kit of window fuzz's for all the windows also. if you want to install them. The Doors are aligned perfectly and hinges are perfect and door doesn't drop what so ever.

The trunk is all original with NO patches as seen in picture and I have the original jack with the correct spare tire. The front end looks as though it has all new bushings on A-frames and stabilizers and ball joints and tie rods were done. I tried to show this in the pictures.

I purchased this about 3 years ago just as you see it and put on about 1. 00 miles for local shows and cruise nights  I was told that the engine and transmission have been rebuilt at about 95k and is supposed to be numbers matching. I can't guarantee that it is. I do know that it is period correct and does show being rebuilt so I'm assuming there is about 25k on it since restoration. It still has it's 2 speed power glide tranny and shifts good and smooth. This runs and rides perfect with no smoke or noise. It has duel exhaust with a sweet light rumble of the 327 250hp. It does have a small tranny front seal leak when it sits for 6 months without being moved which most cars this age do. This is garaged all the time and have a new car cover (soft) I will let go with it.

The interior seats and headliner are all in excellent condition with No rips or yellowing of the white headliner. (Non-Smoker) which I believe these are all original. The rug has been replace to original tuxedo red and front matching mats. In one of the dash pictures. it shows on the dash where the clock should go. that there is a tach but I did remove that and replaced with the original clock. I do have the original air cleaner and 4bbl carter carburetor as the one that is on it is a eldenbrock 4bbl and has electronic ignition (no points) and starts up on first turn of key. This drives and brakes straight with No pulling or swaying. It runs cool with No problems of overheating.

I've said EVERYTHING and am Honest about this car so No one gets any Surprises when you come to look at it. I've been there when someone's explanation is that it's excellent and you get there and it's a piece of Sh**t and you wasted your time. I'm telling you everything. so it would be best to come see this for yourself. It is registered and insured to test drive. but I'm not here for Rides or Dreamers. and to all the  Scammers don't waste your time or my time. Oh yeah. Ask your wife. girlfriend. or whomever to make sure they will let you buy it. MAKE Sure you get their OK before bidding.

I don't need any help in selling it. nor do I want ANY trades of any kind as in boats. motorcycles. airplanes. small islands. Car doesn't leave my house till Certified Bank or  Cashiers check clears or cash is put in my hand or account. This car is Sold without a Title. It will be sold with a Ct. bill of Sale. The State of Ct. doesn't issue titles to cars over 20years old. I will give you a copy of my present registration.
