UPDATE: I got the following question. and it didn't automatically post to the listing. but I figured this info may benefit someone else as well:
Q:
I remember back in 1961 a dealer said that was from the speedo going around at least one time. Thank you for more info. E
A:
I honestly have no idea. I believe it is a one or two owner car. but we're not 100% sure as there are no records. We can try to get a hold of the lady we got it from and see what we can find out.It does have the original engine that was running that comes with it. but the original block had a crack in it on the left side. While it ran ok. it looked like someone had tried to weld the crack. but poorly. and last year it started leaking so we pulled it. The original head is still on the replacement block and HAS been rebuilt.
As for odometer. we don't know anything about a factory misalignment. but as far as we know these are original miles. When we bought it. it had 83000 on it. and we've put the difference on there.
