VERY RARE 1965 K CODE MUSTANG FASTBACK RED ON RED for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.5) based on 292 votes
This auction is for a very nice 1965 K Code Mustang Fastback that has been a Colorado Car since new. The car has an older restoration that was done in the late 70's. This driver quality K Code car does not have the original motor. but was restored to look like the original. It does not have a solid lifter cam. It had the same owner since the restoration. and has only been driven less than 2000 miles since. This car has NO RUST! The underside is very clean! The Mustang runs great and drives great. This is not a GT K Code. but a non GT K Code which makes it even more rare. A Little History Lesson: The DSO 89 is the rarest of all DSO's. It is in fact a vehicle that was built and kept by Ford for its use until no longer needed and then sold off to the general public. Most all of these vehicles were used as perks for the Executives. Management and "Other Important People" . Ford would keep them  for months or up to a year until newer models came out and replaced them. They were then mixed into the fleet. So Basically your car would have been an Executive or Promotional Car. It was chosen because of the Red on Red color scheme as well as being nicely optioned for publicity and marketing reasons. Look at the pictures carefully as what you see is what you get. The car is a Factory 4 Speed car and came equipped with the Rally Pack. The Rally Pack is not currently working.  The Interior is as close to flawless as you can get!  SUPER CLEAN!  It has the (5) Original Optional Steel Style Kelsey Hayes Wheels (not Reproductions) with nice tire that have excellent tread. Spare rim in trunk. All Electrical works fine with the exception of the Rally Pack. The car shifts well and runs smoothly. I encourage you to come and inspect the car for yourself (during the auction) if at all possible. if for no other reason than piece of mind. This car would be a great addition to any collection. You would be proud to put this Pony in your stable!
For Any and All Questions Please Call 719-499-1003. FYI:  Most K Code Fastbacks were taken by Carroll Shelby to build his first 1965 Shelby's Therefore there are only a handful of 1965 K Code Fastbacks left making them even more rare than the 1965 Shelby.
