1969 Mustang Mach 1 Super Cobra Jet / Drag Pack 4-speed.   This is a R-code shaker car with the most desirable W-code 4. 30 rear axle.   It is a San Jose built car and still has its original paint.

Originally - Mach 1 SCJ with 4-speed. power steering. power brakes. folddown (sport deck) rear seat & tinted glass.   See Marti report for details.

Currently - 10-second drag car with race 428 engine. roll cage. CalTrac rear suspension. race-prepped C4 automatic transmission. race seats and gauges. Line Loc. fuel cell. trunk mounted batteries. lightweight wheels. fiberglass hood and trunk lid and more trick race parts.

This is the top of the 1969 Mustang food chain - R-code. W-code. 4-speed. Mach 1.   Somewhere along the line. it became a drag car.   The dash has been removed (mileage is unknown). roll cage and subframe connectors added.   Aluminum race wheels with Moroso drag tires on the front and new Hoosiers on the rear.   Cal Trac rear suspension (Rancho shocks & springs/bars).   Engine is a 428 service block with cross-bolted mains. forged pistons. Crane solid roller cam. Crane HD/Dove roller rockers. nbsp;Edelbrock aluminum heads. Joe D. Craine ported Streetmaster intake. QFT 850 carb. new Hooker headers. MSD 6AL.   The engine has been recently freshened (new bearings) and run on an engine dyno to prove its integrity.   With no tuning. it made 566 HP and 576 TQ!  Sounds awesome!

The body is uncut - no tubs!  There are extra holes for mounting and routing of race components and both shock tower reinforcements have a small notch for header bolt clearance.   The original metal is in original paint and is rust free except for rust bubbles in the corners of both doors.   There is also a small amount of rust near the PS battery. probably from spilled acid. This car is virtually rust free.

This is a quick and well equipped drag car. that could be restored to original later.   It is an outstanding foundation for a restoration. with its original sheet metal and minimal rust.   Car has original glass except for DS door.   Original CJ rear axle housing with N case differential (not date correct).   I have many extra parts that will be included with the sale for the BIN price.   These include all of the dash parts. console. Mach 1 seats and the shaker assembly.   I also have hood hinges. hood latch. wiper assembly. etc.
