Sr. worked closely with other icons such as Henry Ford II and Carol Shelby to bring Ford to the forefront of performance.  Tasca was the birthplace of historic muscle cars such as the Ford Cobra Jet. Thunderbolt. Tasca Street Boss and Mystery race cars. Carl Tasca. Sr. famously drove the Fastest Ford Cobra Jet in the world and his son. Bob Tasca III piloted a 300 mph. 10. 00 hp NHRA Nitro Funny Car.  The Tasca Racing team competed successfully for over a decade on the NHRA circuit.   Tasca Ford is truely an American Ford Preformance success story.

I purchased this incredible car from a senior gentleman who lives in South Florida. He had recently had a stroke and reluctantly decided to part with his precious Saleen Dan Gurney Edition.  He had purchased the car in Boston. Mass. from a Ferrari. Maserati dealership when it only had 2. 00 miles on it.  He had loved. maintained and protected it . and . only decided to part with it when he could no longer drive it safely.   He was very proud to have kept everything original on the car.  However. he had upgraded the wheels with chrome Saleen Wheels . but .  he had kept the original Dan Gurney Edition wheels (which he had removed at 3. 00 miles) and they are now replaced on the car.  I have searched the internet and cannot find another Dan Gurney Edition for sale anywhere.  This is truly a rare find . and . one of a very. very few with theTasca Ford 590HP up-grade.
