1975 OLDSMOBILE W-30 

HURST CONVERSION PACKAGE

Research on the Internet indicates that being a W-30 it has the 455 c. i. engine and an automatic transmission with Hurst Dual Gate floor shifter and it also has the hard to find Hurst Oldsmobile tachometer.   Keep in mind that this is the 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass W-30 option with the Rocket 455 engine and TH-400 transmission. we have read that 1971 was the last year for the 455.    Make no mistake about it. this is not a W25 with the smaller engine. this is the W-30 option with the 455 engine.    The 1975 Hurst Conversion only came in Cameo White or Ebony Black with gold reflective decals.

Not only is this car equipped with Oldsmobile W30 option but it also includes the Hurst Conversion Package. which is a very serious option. that includes the Hurst Hatch Rook. Smoked Glass Panels. Gold Body Accents. Padded Half Top. Blocked Off Quarter Windows. Hurst Emblems on the interior and exterior.   W-30 Fender Identification.   We here at MissChiTown just love the 442 louver hood. swivel bucket seats and t-top style roof.

Considering how many Oldsmobiles that were produced that year. the Oldsmobile W-30 with the Hurst Package is just a small percentage of the total Oldsmobile production.   It is our understanding that the white Hurst Conversion accounted for only 1. 93 cars total. we have read estimates that there are only 54 known to exist today in driving condition.   Just check the Internet to see if you can find a 1975 Oldsmobile W30 with the 455 engine and the full Hurst conversion! 

Now for a little history on this car.   The original owner of this car purchased this car new for his wife and it appears he ordered everything he could think of for the car.   The couple has since passed away and the family is now selling the vehicle.   The title is clear and in the son's name.   Kindly keep in mind that the current owner inherited the car from his father and never used it as a driver.   The private seller has provided detail photos to help a potential buyer see the car up close.  

The car has 105. 302 miles driven by the original owner's wife.   She babied the car but over the years it did acquire some dings (seller has provided very up close detail photos).   It also has some wear and tear but the family believes this car to be mostly or fully original.   The car has the original wheels.   The car has air conditioning but it is not currently blowing cold.   Keep in mind that when you give this car some serious TLC you will be having a car that you may never see another one at the car shows.   That is what we call rare here at MissChiTown. and we believe that there will be a crowd gathering around this car at any car show.   The reserve is very reasonable and we would ask anybody looking at this eBay listing. when was the last time that  you saw another one for sale that is almost entirely original (if not completely original).   This is a car that you can bid to win and be happy that you did.
