Incredible 1968 SS 396 Camaro with 350 Automatic Transmission. Bucket Seats and Competition Floor Shifter

We purchased this car several months ago with a few items that needed to be either completed or fixed. (mainly cosmetic) We have completed all of the items we felt needed addressing and are now offering this beautiful Camaro for sale.

Here are some of the things we addressed. the Transmission was slipping so we had the 350 turbo professionally rebuilt and a new torque  converter installed.   We installed new door weather stripping. a new radiator. new valve covers. new air cleaner and repaired all of the lights. including a new brake switch so that all lights. headlights. parking lights. turn signals and brake lights work correctly.

The car has a beautiful metallic gray (teal) paint job that has been done well. The Paint is a base coat/clear coat system. it has a few very minor road chips and a couple of slight imperfections. But from 5 feet away. it looks perfect and in the Sun. the car dazzles and sparkles. The body is very straight. aligns well  and appears to be free of rust. There have been a few small patch panels installed. but they were done well and the floor pans are good.

The interior is fresh with new deluxe door panels. new carpet. new still plates. new velour and vinyl seat covers with a bow tie stitched into the front two bucket seats. There is a new headliner in the car but it could stand a little stretching to remove what small puckers are in it. The seats are comfortable and the springs and foam are in excellent condition.

There is a Grant wood steering wheel with full gauges. which include. Oil pres. Water temp and Amps. The gas gauge works and so does the speed odometer. The wipers work and there is a AM FM cassette player in a unmolested dash that sounds pretty good.   The factory dash pad has a few cracks in it but there is a nice custom after market dash pad on top that hides the cracks.

The car has good glass all the way around with all new chrome and trims. The bumpers are new as well as all of the emblems.

There is a fresh built 396/325 HP big block engine in the car. it has a Edelbrock aluminum intake with a 750 cfm Edelbrock carburetor. Large long tube headers. mild Comp cam and HEI ignition.

The car has non-power drum brakes but they work very well The car does not have power steering but it handles and turns well with little effort.

I have driven the car many times and it rides. handles and drives great. nothing needed to start cruising.

This cool 1968 SS 396 Camaro was built at the Norwood Ohio GM factory in 1968. It was originally shipped with Black (713) interior and an original exterior color of Island Teal metallic (F2)

The car came with a V8 engine. do not know the size. (I am sure it was not a 396 engine) a column shift Automatic Transmission and a 10 bolt rear end.

This car runs strong and the transmission shifts smoothly. The cooling system keeps the car at a perfect 180 degrees. even when cruising the streets in the middle of a hot South Georgia summer.

The car is sitting on a new set of 15” Rally wheels with new center caps and beauty rings. The tires are new  and together the car has a cool muscle stance.

Please see all of the great features listed below. The car was restored about 3 years ago.
