Premium Motorcars of Monterey is please to present for auction a beautiful 1978 Porsche 911 sc.  With the change to the 3. 0L engine in 1978. these 911's finally had the power that all enthusiusts were looking for in those days.  Some have said that in '78 the new SC was the old Carrera 3. 0 in everything but name: same basic specifications. appearance. and features.  The performance that was long sought after now was finally available to a broader market.  

 

 

 

Recent interest in 1970's Porsches has sparked steady value increases.  With the combination of performance. desirability. and relative affordability. this 1978 911 SC will continue to provide a wonderful driving exeperience and continued return on investment.

 

 

 

This 1978 Porsche is a beautiful example of the power. performance. and styling that a 911 of that era displayed.  This car is an original silver car. repainted in a stunning Burgandy.   Some imperfections are present in the paint.  The engine drives strong and all leaks have been addressed.  Compression testing has been performed and is good.  Shifting is tight but is era correct for these cars.  The interior is free from dash cracking. has two newly upolstered front seats. and newer carpet kit.  All power windows and sunroof move swiftly.  The car does not have A/C.   The odometer reads just over 61. xx miles however. no documentation of mileage is provided.

 Terms of Sale Overview

I reserve the right to end this listing at anytime should the vehicle no longer be available for sale. The following terms of sale apply to all auctions presented by Premium Motorcars of Monterey:

1. To bid on this item you must be a Registered eBay user.

2. If you bid. you the bidder are entering into a legal and binding contract to purchase the automobile listed on this page. Do not bid if you do not intend to purchase.

3. Buyers are responsible to pay a non-refundable $500 deposit via paypal within one business day. Full payment must be received within five business days from end of auction.

4.   If you are a European buyer. I do have resources and shippers that I can have the car to you in many cases for only $950.  

5. If you are a California residents. you will be responsible to pay sales tax and registration fee unless you pick the car up with a trailer/transporter with Bill of Lading showing an address outside CA state line. Out-of-State buyers may register and pay applicable taxes in their home state so no sales tax for you either.

6. Seller reserves the right to notify bidders and end the auction early without any liability to the seller.

7. No bid retractions allowed 24 hours prior to auction end. Please have all necessary information available to complete transaction.

8. The vehicles herein are pre-owned and they are sold as "As Is" condition.

9. Third party inspections are available and encouraged.   We will assist in theses efforts though the cost of such inspection will be assumes by the buyer.  

Winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours of auction end. and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $500. 00 deposit is due within 24 hours of end of auction. The remainder is due within 5 days of auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle. sell it to the next high bidder. or sell it otherwise.  Some banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles older than 1995 or with more than 100K miles. Make sure if financing that your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before bidding. Please arrange financing prior to bidding.

Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle. If you wish to have it shipped using a service. I will gladly cooperate. You can locate shippers by doing a search for `auto shippers'.  I have good opened and closed shippers and can ship a car to Europe for $950 US.  

If you are not sure about something. please ask! Do not assume anything not listed is included. I reserve the right to cancel bids for excessive negative feedback. We reserve the right to end the listing if the vehicle is no longer available for sale.
