This is a beautiful 1972 Olds Cutlass Supreme Convertible that I bought in November 2009. She has a 455 Big Block; 4 Speed M22 Manual Trans; Saddle Bronze Metallic Paint; Saddle Interior; Full Console; Strato Bucket Seats; Sport Mirrors; Sport Steering Wheel; AC; PS/PB w/Front Disc; High-end Aftermarket Stereo; and Full Security System; etc.

Please note that this car was listed this past August with what I thought was a realistic reserve. I have since reconsidered and decided to repost with a significantly lower reserve.

I originally bought the car because I loved the color combination and the quality of the body/paint restoration. I can't drive the car without getting a compliment about the quality of the paint and how much they love it. Let me first start by saying: I love this car for the way it drives and the smile it puts on my face. Whenever I start it she idles with a nice lope of authority and moves out even better.

Unfortunately. as much as I want to keep it in the family. our oldest is now driving and we just can't support all the cars. So with quite a bit of regret. I need to sell this car and hope that it finds a nice new home. As far as I know. this car has been garaged at least since 1992. Since I've owned her. she has rarely seen rain; and that's only if we got caught before being tucked away into the garage.

Of note. this car was repainted in 1992 in the original Saddle Bronze Metallic Paint. The interior is also saddle. When I bought the car it still had its original 350 Rocket Motor along with Rochester 4 barrel. 3 spd manual Hurst. dual exhaust. sport mirrors and wheels. front front disc brakes. AC. and strato bucket seats. I also have the original Protecto Plate. window sticker. and manuals. along with documentation of paint/body restoration.

When I first bought the car I concentrated on addressing the little things including the interior. window/door seals. glass. brakes. suspension. etc. to ensure the car was safe and fun to drive. Only later did I decide to kick things up a notch and transform it into something equal to the 442's in terms of speed and handling. without looking like a 442. So. here's what's been done since:

Installed rebuilt ‘69 455 Big Block – F Heads Installed rebuilt 4spd Muncie M22 – also known as the “Rock Crusher” with Hurst Shifter Installed new drive shaft Installed new MSD Distributor. Essentially I have had three shops work on this car all in pretty extensive ways including: the Nationally renowned Oldsmobile shop - Thornton Reproductions (Troy) out of Quakertown. PA; Maryland Performance (George) out of Frederick. MD; and Oldtown Automotive (Courtney) out of Huntingtown. MD. Each have done a tremendous amount of work on the car. I have receipts for everything in a detailed binder including photos and other information. You won't find better documentation.

This car is a hoot to drive because she has a ton of torque and can drive all day long as a cruiser with the top down along with your honey up front; 3 guests/kids in my case in the back; along with a couple sets of clubs/lacrosse gear in the trunk. I've driven this car multiple times to Philly and back. She's as reliable as you can expect for a '72 Olds.

Feel free to contact me to discuss further. If at all possible. come out to drive her. You'll understand what I'm saying when I say “she drives as good as she looks. but faster!”

Good Luck
