I bought this beautiful old Merc seven years ago from the grandson of its original owner. In that time I have lavished time and attention on it to bring it up to the standard you can see in the photos.


This car attracts attention everywhere it goes.  New in 1979 it cost $47. 00.

 

Almost every major system has been restored or serviced: brakes. fuel system. air conditioning. exhaust. steering. auto transmission. The car has travelled 312. 00kms in its 38 years. It is in great mechanical shape and is very reliable.

 

The upholstery is outstanding.   The roof lining has been professionally replaced. The original carpets are protected by new fitted mats. The Sony stereo includes Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

 

Features include air conditioning. central locking. power windows. power sunroof.   Sadly the cruise control is not working. but the original components are all in place.

 

The car has new whitewall tyres and comes with 12 months registration.

 

Many spares are included: air filter. oil filters. brake pads. trim items. rear brake callipers. engine oil. air con clutch. headlight and taillight lenses. starter motor. hub caps and a front passenger door. I'll also supply several service books and manuals.

 

I'm moving onto another project.   This car needs to go to a home with a garage and an owner prepared to keep it in good shape. Properly maintained it should last indefinitely.
