House of Horsepower presents this 1978 Chevrolet Corvette Pace Car Limited Edition with only 17. 38 original miles! This car is a true time capsule maintaining its original paint. interior and most of its original parts down to correct belts. hoses. spark plug wires and tires! This car was carefully kept and stored in a climate controlled building which preserved its excellent original condition. The car was correctly maintained throughout its life and regularly started and driven to keep all of its systems in tip top shape. We received the car and reconditioned the brakes. replaced the battery. changed the fluids and inspected the car to make sure everything is in working order. All the electrical components work. including the clock (but it is a little slow). The VIN matching L48 350 engine starts easily and runs strong and smooth. The original and VIN stamped TH350 automatic transmission shifts firm and smooth as it should. There is no driveline noise and other than a little vibration from the original tires. the car drives excellent! All of the rubber and plastic parts are in excellent condition with no sign or dry rot or cracking.   This car was used sparingly by its previous owners and has some wear consistent with age and use. but is easily ready for competition as an NCRS quality survivor car! Correct parts are throughout the car and all original systems including emissions controls are still present and working. The radio has been replaced with a period correct aftermarket AM/FM cassette stereo. but the dash is all original and UNCUT! We have service records that show the fuel tank and mufflers were replaced around 1993 with correct replacements by a Chevy dealer. Lots of documentation comes with the car. original books. service records. and information from two previous owners. These cars are up and coming in collectability and value.
