Porsche 930 Turbo Coupe

Up for sale is a rare colored. low milage. well kept Euro Model Porsche 930 Turbo vin # 9309700232.  1979 was the year of the last hand built German 911.   What made the 930 is its outrageous charm of being a pure bread race car for highway use. making do without stability control. and other electronic systems limiting the drivers input.   I purchased it 5 years ago from the third owner and have put less than 2500 miles on it. Previous owner lived in Atlanta and had owned the car for 10+ years driving it only a couple of times a year on Sundays.   Motor was pulled and every gasket replaced and new rings installed with fresh head studs and a new turbo in 2002 at 55k. This is a dry bottom engine and runs great with 67. 00 miles on it. The interior has very little wear and no fading as the pictures will show. There are no signs of accident damage and a clean Carfax. The car has a aftermarket alarm system.   Boost control is adjustable with a knob under the dash.   The drivers side rear fender was repainted before I bought the car as was a few others areas in a partial repaint.  The rest of the paint is good with the hood showing 2 or 3 stone chips. Since i have owned the car it sits garaged most of the year only driven 2-3 times per year on clear days. Indoor cover is included.   A/C barrier hoses need to be replaced.   The dash being leather has a few small curl up's that I was told can be repaired.   There are absolutely no signs of rust anywhere on this car and it has rarely if ever been driven in the rain.   New Yokohamas with less than 200 miles installed March 2013.

This car was once titled in Newport Beach California.   It is a Euro Spec car.   The September/October edition of Excellence Magazine has the '79 Turbo coupe in original condition with no repairs need at $45k to $75k.   As this car does not have the correct Fuchs. functioning A/C. and small dash repair the reserve is discounted to reflect these issues.   Included is the original tool kit. owners manual. and history of ALL work down to the car since new with receipts.   This car has been owned by previous owners who spared no expense and babied this collector automobile.   A mere 1. 00 U. S. turbos were made in '79; almost three decades later. not many low-mileage. rust free examples are left to choose from. Turbo prices are climbing steadily with most air cooled collectible cars approaching the $80k to $100k range.   As always. the best of the best are destined to appreciate steadily.
