Legacy Motorcars offers this beautiful Austin Healey. A 1955 100/4. the car has undergone a frame off restoration a few years back. The car has been used sparingly since. and is still in excellent condition. It is not a 100 point show car. but and excellent driver. a car that would be a hit at any cruise in or local show. Widely considered the 'original' Austin Healey. the 100/4 BN1 and BN2 series cars were built brom 1953-56. this early BN1 is fitted with the later overdrive gearbox. making the car much more driveable. In the important American market the car fit neatly into the gap between the Triumph TR-2 and the larger and more expensive Jaguar XK 120 and XK 140 models. The 100/4 is a true. two-seat roadster. with a purity of line and sense of purpose that has made them quite sought after by enthusiasts and collectors world wide.
Built in December of 1954. the car will be supplied with a Heritage Trust certificate to authenticate the numbers. Finished in Carmine Red with black trim. nbsp;the paint is still in superb condition. There is no sign the car has ever had accident or rust damage. The frame is solid as is the floors and trunk area. The interior of the car is black with red piping. Mecanically the car is excellent. It runs and drives very well. Note the stainless exhaust. The interior is excellent. a beautiful dash. perfect seats and carpet. All gauges work as they should. Chrome wire wheels are fitted with new tires. Records go back a far as service from Frank Monise Motors in Pasadena. California as noted in the photos. The car is also supplied with side curtains. spare tire. nbsp;and softtop. nbsp;not show in the photos. It is truly a car that can be driven anywhere.
