where do i start for sale is my 1275gt(original) not a clubman with gt stickers on i bought this car about 4 years ago of ebay it was supposed to be in good condition soon after delivery i realised that was not the case (you know who you are)it has been subject to a complete renovation but with some unique additions i started with the body shell which had new front floors rear valence outer sills drivers door step and various other repairs we modified some sportpack arches and then a full respray in inca yellow with a black roof the underside was dinitrol front to back and some nice new 7x13 mini lite rims and then i ran it for the following 2 summers i did not like under the bonnet so in the winter of 2011 i decided to to renovate the engine bay after having the engine bay shot blasted and painted the engine looked a bit sad and i had a metro turbo engine waiting to be fitted after some research i discovered the bulk head had to be butchered to take the t3 turbo which i did not want to do thanks to phil at turbo mini in kendal he gave me a few ideas the engine was bored to plus 40 and fitted with omega pistons basically built to turbo mini. 130hp spec which you will find on phils website (www. turbo-mini. com)i did not want to cut the bulkhead so i fitted a mirage exhaust manifold and a gt1752 water cooled turbo of a saab 2ltr turbo the result was a much neater job and because the turbo is quite compact it spools up very quickly with no lag i fitted a large intercooler behind the front grill under the slam panel which is tucked nicely out of the way i fitted a recirculating dump valve and the original metro turbo air filter so no nasty induction noises and quite a civilised drive until you boot it. ts also had a full gearbox rebuild with a cross pin diff and a heavy duty clutch and standard drop gears could not do with the noise of those straight cut things i have just fitted a brand new fuel pressure reg and had a mini sport rolling road set up which gave 119hp with 6psi of boost at 6000rpm i am told at that engine spec it could be run at 10psi with no problem i have heard them ru at 15psi but 6 is just fine for me it has had brand new newton commercials carpets an 1/2 learher slide and tilt cooper s front seats magnolia dials cad quick shift and FULLY ADJUSTABLE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING even ya missus could steer it with these wheels on it is variable power setting using a switch on the dash fitting this was quite a challenge but it works very well and is not to intrusive in the spring of this year i fitted 4 new rubber suspension units with hi lows and new joints it also has metro turbo discs and 4 pot callipers i feel sure there will be things i have not listed but it has been a long time in the making and you do forget things there is a brand new megajolt ignition system. oil spring conversion and the original engine and box these are by separate negotiation if not will be listed on ebay at a later date now i am going to try and list the bad pointsthere is still some work to do in the boot i was going to do that this winterthe centre console needs to be finished inc radiothe speedo stopped working this summerthe underside of the bonnet needs paintingrust is coming through the drivers scuttle where it meets the wingsome parts of the roof gutter are rusting and a bit has broken off the drivers back of roofi feel sure there will be more bits and bobs but nothing that will be to big a jobi have been as honest as possible about this car and would advise anyone who is interested to come and see it if you are serious about bidding my reason for sale is my job circumstances have changed and i no longer have time to complete this long term project it will be very sad for me to see it go but i have probably only done 50mls this year and time is going to be even shorter it is due for an mot so will come with a full 12mts. ax runs out end of sept and can be renewed at cost to winning bidder please if you are not serious dont bid there are so many time wasters on ebay it is cash on collection and buyer to collect this car is advertised locally so could be withdrawn without notice i will try answer any questions and anything else i can think of i will ad at a later dategood luck happy bidding
