You are bidding on a 1970 AMC AMX.   Engine is 390 V8. I have owned this car for 30 years and have owned many AMX's for over 40 years.   I have done everything imaginable to this car which makes it one of the best AMX's in the world!  It is very. very fast but more than that it is dependable.  There is way to much done to it to list here so you'll have to inquire if you are serious about bidding.   It is also nitrous equipped but has never been used because its fast enough already. The only reason I am selling this great car is because I have an illness which keeps me from enjoying this vehicle.   Feel free to ask any questions.

Im sorry to cancel the auction early as this is the first time I have sold anything on ebay and I wanted to make sure I gave every detail possible.

I am not a professional ebay person. car seller. or mechanic. any work that was done was done by a professional.

1. no cutting of the body. dash. firewall. runk. was done on this car. It could be taken back to original at any time although I do not see the point. The original block is sitting on the shelf In the garage as I didn't want to change it. Block in car has the following.

a. all oil mods for both bearing.

b. roller rockers

c. original dogged heads. orted and polished. /p>

d. hyper cam. ut tasteful. ot too radical

e. raised intake manifold 1 1/2

f. air breather that fits into ram air hole.

g. 780 double pump holley carb.

h. aluminum radiator. with two electric fans

i. vintage air conditioning. with 2 duct work behind dash.

j. all custom brackets for alt. ac. power steering pump

k. motor has tasteful nitrous oxide set up but I have never used it.

note. I spent 13 years woring on car. I turned 50 when I competed it and I was fast enough. No need to change the trans. motor. or shifter as I don't think there is a better feeling set up than the 70 amx hurst shifter set up. I think the borg werner 4 speed feel and set up is the best. the motor is smooth up to 6500 rpm but have never taken it further as with my sickness that started (kidney sickness). it was fast enough.

l. when motor work was done I have a verable electronic timing. electric distributor. all gauges work. tack was set up to run with new distributor. I put three gauges where the ash tray goes just added security. again. nothing was cut. the 3 gauges are water temp. fuel pressure. again all gauges and original work.

m. note. the vintage air controller fits perfectly into the weather eye spot like it was made for the car. also. there is the idle advance solenoid so when ac is turned on the car still idles.

n. anybody who has put craigers no that you need a spacer on the front tires but I shaved the lobes on the calibers so they fit perfect without spacers. /p>

o. the rear is a new ford 9' with disc brakes. it was narrowed 1 7/8' inches so I could fit the rear tires into the wheel wells. rear is a 3. 73 gear ratio.

p. blow proof bell housing. traction bars. ustom 2' exhaust drive shaft strap.

q. other thoughts. under new carpet went 5/8 aluminum foam (dyna-mat) insulation for sound and heat proofing. sony stereo with 4 speakers. hillholder brake button. optinal ele fuel pump. gas tank was sent out and sump put In correct placement so fuel pick up is on rear.

This car is beautiful. it is not obnoxiously loud but sounds healthy. cruises at 65 effortlessly and gets there in a hurry. I love the 70 amx and thank the people on t. v. like counts counting cars have missed the boat. there is not a better riding. smoother shifting. tight handling. muscle car of the 70s. I'm glad I was fortunate enough to have been a part of it.

JOHN SR.

Hello!

If this car is still for sale, do you know the build date?

Maybe me getting old, but I don't see a price?

Andrew
