1964 Ford Country Sedan

Offered for sale is a 1964 Ford Country Sedan 6 passenger wagon.

Finished in burgundy with original tan/beige/gold tone interior. This wagon has been very well cared for its entire life and has been a very enjoyable piece to own; a true head turner and car of continued compliments.

This car lived most of its life in Texas and underwent and was repaint (one) by the prior owner some years ago.   The paint is in nice overall condition for its age.   Antique Burgundy being its' original factory color.

The tan/beige/gold tone interior offers the original seat material that is in exceptional condition having been covered with the old style protective plastic most of its life.  Both the back and front seats are in exceptional condition.  The interior of the car is in absolutely remarkable condition given the age of the vehicle.   Many commit on the interior of the car while at car shows. the original plastic seat covers often the highlight of the interior conversations as many recall their parents or grandparents having covered their seats during the era of popular plastic seat covers.

Easy to drive. the manual steering is both a pleasure to drive and easy to handle. The car goes down the road with two fingers on the steering wheel and truly drives better than most Cadillac's of its' day.

Complete with factory AC which was shipped with the car to the dealer and dealer installed (considered factory air). the reworked 289 offers plenty of power with the AC on. The AC was a among the rare options with the 289 set up. The engine is set up to run on unleaded gas. The car is also  equipped with its' original AM radio in addition to the very rare original factory roof rack. The car is so original that even the dust remains atop of the sun visors. I refuse to wipe the dust off as it shows the originality of the car.

The mileage/odometer shows just over 121. 00 on the vehicle with confirming title. The motor has been reworked. transmission and rear end have been completely rebuilt. The rear gears were changed from factory 350's to 300's (Talladega or country gears as we call them) for better fuel economy making it an easier travel on the interstate.  The original 350 rear gears are available with the car.

The body is solid all around. Pictures do not do this car justice in any way.

This is an absolutely beautiful car that will surely be appreciated by the true wagon enthusiast or those seeking a very nice piece to drive and enjoy. From young kids to the elderly. this car has always been a favorite whether being shown or on a leisurely drive.

The value of the 6 passenger Country Sedan equipped with the 289/Factory Air has increased 105. 68% (more than doubled) in value over the past 34 months.  Few other American made vehicles are seeing this percentage of appreciation.

It is not perfect and is certainly typical of any 53 year old vehicle.  It is however in exceptional condition for a 1964 while I dare say you will find another one available in better condition that has not be fully restored by a high dollar shop.

The original steering wheel comes with the vehicle. The reproduction mid 60's steering wheel is available.
