The Good. the decent. the minor bad. and the extras

In my opinion. this car is a better deal than many of the GTVs that have sold recently. There have been a few cars that are nicer. or much nicer. but they have sold for way more than my reserve.
If you are looking at this listing. you probably already know that the GTV is one of the most beautiful cars ever made. This Alfa Romeo is light. quick. dashingly good looking. and an absolute blast to drive.
I have little time for this beauty. and am thinning out the herd. This fine automobile deserves to be adopted by an owner that can give her more attention. and drive her more than I am able to. I have only put on 10. 00 miles in my 10 years owning her (In California). it's been stored in the garage 8 of our 10 years together. I have owned 3-4 Alfas throughout her stay with me (as well as other family cars) = too many.
In the opinion of many. she is one of the most beautiful cars ever designed. Pure Bertone! She is Italian. she is bellissimo. and she is all Alfa….
She drives well. shifts well. stops well for a 40 year old design. is very peppy and sounds just fantastic.
Good / New:
Clean Pansport Racing 15” mini lite wheels w good Yokohama 205/55R15 ES100s ($900)Brand New Magnaflow 2 ¼” stainless steel exhaust system ($900)– incredibly sweet soundNew Clutch slave and Master cylinder. Mid 80s 2 liter motor swap was in car when purchased. Starts easy. runs very strong. sounds sweet. Minor paint bubbles called out in pictures. The repaint done before my purchase seems well done and of high quality. That may have been 15 years ago……The rubber glass seals are in excellent condition. and no scratches on the glass. The body is straight and clean – with the exception of a small crease w bondo on left rear. and minor chips and rust spots. a few paint bubles – see photosNo cancer or significant rust. Bright work and chrome are complete and nice (6-7 out of 10) minor dents in bumpers- see picturesGood synchros . 3rd gear not perfect Headliner very clean. Seats decent for 40 year old vinyl. Dash is nice. has dash capElectricals decent. horn. lights. fan. turn signals work. Has a starter button in addition to the ignition switchLocks / key in working order

It's a classic Italian. you will never tire of her irresistible good looks and charm. and she really is a head turner. It runs like a champ. starts right away. idles nicely and doesn't consume oil or overheat. The gearbox is good. syncros do not grind. and she shifts well. It tracks true and stops properly / straight. The headlights. temperature gauge. turn signals. tail lights and brake lights function as intended.
She sounds fantastic with her throaty burble. and looks positively stunning from a bit of a distance. the paint is shiny. and the trim. bumpers and grill are bright. The interior is in decent condition. dash is good. headliner is very good and the upholstery has few cracks. rips and tears.
It's classic Italian. It looks much better at five feet than from ten inches. it's been repainted at some point in the last several years. but the paint is nice and shiny. although it has about 15 little dings / scratches. The chrome and bright work is good. small dents in rear bumper.
I am trying to be as honest and forthcoming as possible. I tried to take pictures of every small defect that I could find. and call out any deficiencies that I am aware of. (you can ask for more / specific pictures if interested)
The car drives great. looks good from a few feet away and has great charm and appeal. I am going to miss her (I wanted to do a flaming purple pearl paint job. refresh the seats. remove side lights and rear Alfa Romeo badge. and lower her). Too many cars. too little time – I need to drop down to owning just 2 Alfas - lol
