1942 Cadillac Series 62 Deluxe Fastback Sedanete. this car is a spectacular vehicle and super rare being a 1942 model as Cadillac ceased production in February 1942 due to WW II. there were only 515 of the Series 62 cars produced. This car has had the same owner since 1973 and was restored by him in a 10 year period. the engine and transmission was professionally rebuilt. the wood grain is near perfect as is the upholstery. the flat head V-8 engine cranks and runs great. This beauty has wide white wall tires. rear fender skirts. the trunk is clean and has a spare tire and includes a 1942 shop manual. This car is a 1983 AACA junior and senior winner Now for the bad things about the car. which is minor for this age car. there is some crazing in the lacquer paint. there is one spot on the bottom right side of the trunk lid (see picture) and the steering wheel is cracked. These are the only items I have found on this car. it is an amazing rare car in this condition and runs and drives with no issues. Third party inspections are welcomed. as I am NOT an expert for the 1942 Cadillac. The car is for sale locally. therefore I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
