Adult German Car Enthusiast Owned. Purchased New from Hendrick VW in Sept '15. Balance of factory warranty remains until 50k miles/2019. No accidents.  No paintwork other than small touch ups. Always garaged. washed weekly. Car was intended to be my "pick up the kids from school. go to the airport and back" vehicle. and then the mods began :) This car recieved a Unitronic Stage 1+ in month 1 of ownership. and has had ZERO issues with every subsequent addition of power. I drive it daily. doing almost all highway miles. Average MPGs even after the extensive modding are around 35-37mpg on 93 Octane @70mph cruising speed. Now for the fun stuff:

As a Performance Pack car WITH a manual transmission. span > this is a rare car in the first place. As an 'S'. it is also the LIGHTEST version. even as a 4-door its under 3. 00 lbs. Top end acceleration literally seems endless. However. as a life long Porsche/VW/BMW enthusiast. power is useless if you cannot put it down. and handling/balance is equally important. Therefore I upgraded just about EVERY suspension component available. The ride is not overly firm. body roll has been reduced to a minimum. and turn-in is VERY responsive.
The combination of these modifications. with the practicality of 4 doors and great fuel economy. means you have what may be the ultimate sleeper. Its extremely quiet & under the radar. but BRUTALLY fast. I routinely upset M-Cars. Vipers. Vettes. S-Audis. this weekend it was several 911's and a GT4 on an enthusiastic group drive. to then head to the grocery store afterwards :) My original purchase price + modifications equaled about $42. 00. a relative bargain to embarrass 6 figure sports cars.
