OPPORTUNITY TO ACQUIRE AT NO RESERVE THIS EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF IN MY HUMBLE OPINION ONE OF THE BEST POUND FOR POUND SPORTS CARS TO HIT THE ROADS AT "NO" RESERVE !

This car in particular:

Registered 12-06-1985

M. O. T. march 17th 2014

V. I. N. : WPOZZZ91ZFS140956

Engine: 63FO3907

APOLOGIES FOR THE PICTURE QUALITY. BUT MY DREADED CAMERA ON THE SMART PHONE APPEARS TO BE GOING DOWN THE DRAIN . HE COLOUR IS SO MUCH NICER IN THE FLESH!

Finished in factory special customer order option metallic silver paint finish ( code L999) with contrasting black high back  Carrera powered   leather seats .

Fuch Alloys.

Sony premium I. C. E including 6 stack disc unit.

Back Ground to the car .

Originally sold by Charles Follet of Mayfair to Collyer Hamlin consultants Ltd

The car was then transferred to new company owners "Cross Consultancy" . hen sold to private ownership in 2002

All hand books including service book in their original folder supplied along with a large file of service history invoices

There is 12 stamps in the book plus over 20 service invoices from AFN who have carried out most of the service work on the vehicle . n the last 11 years the car has covered just under 15000 miles  and in 2007 the gearbox was rebuilt by Autostrasse only 5000 miles since.

The last major work carried out in the last 3000 miles . ll brake calipers/disc's removed and overhauled . pgrade to Aeroquip Braided hoses . BC Green stuff pads . all four oil return tubes and seals

Due to business commitments the last keeper has only used her sporadically . he car being keep on a sorn garaged at various times in the last 11 years

So condition of the car . I will be as critical as I can.

Considering its some 28 years of age in very good condition!

Outer Shell:

The body work is excellent condition . ith excellent  shut lines. he  usual suspects on the 911 shell ( front wings below and above the  headlamp . uel cap section . A” pillar into front scuttle panel. ear wings into join below rear screen). ll excellent

Paintwork:

Lovely !

The car is carrying a good depth of shine. the colour really does suit the Targa bringing a certain elegance to the car . here is couple of little blemishes but in essence really  nothing that deserves flagging up

Inner shell section:

All the  places that warrant closer inspection (n/s/f inner wing (Battery side) O/S/F. nner /outer sills. floor sections . ront bulkhead and luggage compartment floor. lam panels ) all I could find with just a couple of small surface bubbles around the engine hatch pull lever inset in the nearside “B”slam. so overall excellent !

Drive train:

To me the jewel in the crown of the 911 is the engine and when these units are good they are fantastic !and this unit falls right in that category . urbine smooth. excellent oil pressure . uiet valve gear . o burning of oil. of course” like all 911 units  they can drip the odd spot of oil . he vehicle is booked in prior to auction end for an oil+filter service .

Heat Exchangers both good and the heater is working.

Gearbox :

Anybody who knows the 915 unit fitted to this and the proceeding  911sc model. know they can be a bit of a pudding stirrer “ and suffer from weak  syncromesh. well no issues here “  the transmission was rebuilt by Autostrasse including replacing 1-2-3- gear dog teeth. ll syncromesh rings and 1-2-3-4 gear selector rings.

Suspension :

All the suspension is excellent' no issues. /span>

Brakes:

As mentioned above. the brakes where overhauled and are in tip top condition.

Wheels and Tyres:

The Fuch Alloys are in excellent condition likewise the matched set of Continental tyres.

Interior

The seats are frim and extremely supportive . ue to seat belt rash there is a couple of small very small splits in the leather  on the very offside edge of the driver's seat bolster where the belt rubs. span >  all the other seating is fine. the interior carrying just the right level of patina .

The targa frame is very good . he headlining fine. the outer vinyl is original. nbsp;

Security:

The vehicle is fitted with Toad “ Thatcham 3 security system . ith two control fobes. also the wheels are fitted with security wheel nuts.

Electrical:

At the time of writing all electrical systems are running bar for the cruise control( that could be down to me as I never encountered it before on a 911)

On the Road:

Well I have been very fortunate in the last 10 years to have bought and sold over 70” Type 911 Porsches  with engines covering 2. 0/2. 2/2. 7/3. 0 /3. 2/3. 3 and 3. 6 and it is in my humble opinion  the 3. 2 Carrera is the vehicle of choice and this car in particular is a good standard bearer for the marque!

The moment you hit the road you notice the traction and torque of the Carrera . he smoothness of the engine and the constant stream of acceleration right through the rev range. combining this with the well-controlled suspension that locks the car down through the corners without the need to break you back” on every ripple in the road !

The other impressive” is the brakes. giving supreme confidence and  great retardation  also fuel consumption. the 3. 2  Carrera never ceases to amaze me as to the frugality of the car!

Overall Conclusion:

The sum of all the above points make the car a true trans continental express. it is still in my mind one of the very few  classics that really still genuinely excite and is capable in the 21st century traffic conditions

This classic Porsche in it's very attractive. arga mode is perfect for our unpredictable climate being able to remove the roof section quickly and enjoy alfresco motoring . if you are looking for a good solid 911 with good Provenance then look no further!

Many Thanks for looking and all the very best of luck with your bid!

Regards

Dave

Please note: the cars I sell are “classic” cars and by nature and age are not of the reliability that is afforded to a modern car (apologies to the classic car enthusiasts for stating the obvious) but with all the best will in the world  whilst I would love then to stay totally reliable. but being old (like myself! )They can breakdown and you should be aware of this. if you have any doubt about classic car ownership or any of these facts kindly refrain from placing a bid on the car.

The car is as usual being sold with “No” Reserve !

Please Remember You Bid to Buy Not to Haggle.

Please note. The description of the vehicle is from my eyes and my opinion. am only human ( I think” ) and could miss something that you might pick up so  you are warmly encouraged to view and inspect the car prior to bidding yourself . I will do my utmost to accommodate you. But once the auction has finished and if you are the winning bidder. you will be expected to conclude the transaction after being given this opportunity to inspect before the auction concludes. Please do not hesitate to call on : 07970383375 to arrange a viewing.

If the winning bidder is not UK Mainland based. it would be possible to deliver the car to a embarkation destination of their choice. once payment is received and the appropriate delivery tariffs have been met. it would be up to the winning bidder to organise the necessary on-going transportation and paperwork.

Please note! With two previous bidders who have had successful bids on other classics I have sold and have been European mainland based. they did not complete the sale quoting. they did not realise the logistics for transportation to the European mainland

Please. Please. Please!

If you are based on the European Mainland and you are going to bid on the car. please make sure you have the means to transport to the European mainland. also please make sure before you bid. that if you intend to road use the vehicle it can be registered in your country.

Now for the boring bits. I only sell good quality classic cars and describe the cars as accurately as I can and sell with honesty and integrity (please read my feedback) I have had on now 15! Occasions (two in the last three listings! ) individuals being the successful bidders on cars and not fulfilling the auction terms (no contact after placing the winning bid ) so wasting my time and stopping a genuine person getting the car. nbsp;

I am also sad to say had an individual who decided after winning the car thinking he could try and force me to sell the car for less intimating placing negative feedback!

I would be grateful if you could call Me on: 07970383375 or email before you bid to confirm your intentions are bona fide .

Many thanks for your understanding.
