The Engine and Transmission are not numbers matching. but they are period correct. and the Transmission is actually an upgraded 911s Transmission.

This Car has Original Dealer installed AIR CONDITIONING. (I am in process to converting it to a more modern compressor so it does not rob the engine of too much power. I have the original compressor if the buyer wants).  

I have owned this 911 for about 5 years. I purchased it from a man whose dad had left this car to him when he passed away. I believe the Dad was the original owner. so technically I am only the 2nd owner of this car.

This car runs like a new car. and it will cruise at 80mph for hours. If you are looking at this Ad then I don't have to give you a lesson on Porsche or the 911. I am sure you know that the 911 when it came to the US. it was more expensive than the Corvette and the Jaguar E-type.

This is an original California BLACK PLATE Car. and it has never left California. This is a RUST FREE car.   (check out the pics of the undercarriage and the front trunk area).

The car was in running condition when I bought it. even the paint on the car was in very good condition which could have been polished out. If it wasn't for a poor quality of the front end repaint. I would have left the Paint original.   (There is no sign of any repairs to the body in the front or anywhere on the car).   One thing let to another. and about 3 years ago. I decided to restore the car.

All the Mechanicals were removed from the car and taken to Motor Meister (WWW. MOTORMEISTER. COM) We decided to go ahead a rebuild everything. The Engine was completely rebuilt with new bearings. gaskets. timing chains. Head studs. Cam sprockets etc. The Oil pump. Cam shafts. Heads. and Cylinders were rebuilt.

The Transmission was rebuilt with new 1st gear assembly. 1st and 2nd gear sliders. 3rd and 4th gear sliders. all 5 new Synchros. 1st gear dog teeth. 4th and 5th gear dog teeth. and 1st gear snap ring. The Flywheel was resurfaced. and the clutch was replaced with OEM SACHS clutch kit.

The Ignition system has been converted to Electronic ignition. No more points! The Alternator and the Starter were rebuilt.

The Fuel system was cleaned out. with new Fuel sending unit. Fuel pump. and rebuilt Weber Carburetors.

The brake calipers were rebuilt. and the pads and rotors and master cylinder is replaced. The shifter assembly and linkage were replaced.

The Exhaust Heater boxes were replaced with DANSK heater boxes. So there is Air Con. and Heat inside the car. This car is ready for those long trips down the coast or cross country.

The Exterior was de-trimmed and repainted with Original style PPG Single Stage Tangerine Orange Paint. All the Chrome was re-chromed. and the weather seals were replaced.

The interior was re upholstered in original style and quality Leather + Vinyl. The carpets were replaced. and the headliner was replaced.

Everything on this car works. all the lights work. all the gauges work. The Wipers work. the horns work. the original radio works. the heater works.

This is a great example of an excellent condition driver quality 911. You can enter car shows. and it can win trophy's. but it is NOT A Concours quality car. It would not be too much work to make it a concours quality car. but I have always believed that "Cars are meant to be driven" especially an early 911 like this one.

I have all the receipts of the work done to it in the last 3 years. I also have a written warranty from Motor Meisters for the engine rebuild for 1 year. I also have the "Porsche certificate of authenticity"

I have a few vintage cars. and I am so impressed with this 911. because it drives like a modern car but it is almost 50 years old.

This is a great opportunity to own a piece of Automotive History.   The values on these cars are only going to go up.
