For sale is my 2006 STi. I have owned this car since 2013 and put about 15. 00 miles on it. largely driving to work and home. I am an engineer working in Santa Clara. so mostly gentle 85N/880N miles. Essentially the second owner since the previous owner flipped the car after some ill adviced engine modifications. At 49. 83 miles because of the previous owner's modifications I had the engine taken out and revamped by Yimisport Tuning in Santa Clarita. Look up their Jager racing car for reference. in my opinion the best tuner in California. I am selling the car to move into something a little more refined for my daily commute. In the week of 4-3-17 I've given it an oil change. coolant flush. and had it professionally detailed. I have the receipts for work that was done during my course of ownership. including $14. 00 for the engine build alone. Motor build. tune. parts. E85 supporting fuel peices cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $18. 00-$20. 00. The seats. stereo. and interior modifications cost another $3. 00.  
All the following work was done by Yimisport. Yimisport bought the OEM pieces. built the motor. installed the motor. and tuned the motor. Parts included: Brand new OEM block with forged pistons. 4032 alloy so they don't rattle on startup. Brand new OEM heads ported and polished contracted out to their prefered head builder. New engine gaskets. exhaust gaskets. belts. oil pump. oil cooler. and ARP studs. I had them install Stack oil pressure and oil temperature gauges that light up different colors at different setpoints to properly monitor the new engine. I also had the cooling system improved. with a black thermal-coated Grimspeed TMIC paired with a CSF combination radiator/oil cooler and a Grimspeed turbo heatshield. Airflow was improved with an upsized 1. 5XT-R turbo. Full-race equal length headers. AP turbo inlet. APS turbo-back exhaust. TGV porting. head porting. and a 73mm cold air intake. Fueling was improve with a Walbro E85 capable fuel pump. 1300cc injectors. fuel rail. and Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator. An RPS clutch was chosen for driveability and holding power. Engine mounts and transmission mount were swapped for Group-N units to keep the whole package controllable.
From the list of modifications I hope you can see the general strategy to make the engine more durable. to get air in and out more efficiently. and to fuel that increased airflow properly. The effect of this on the driving experience is profound. On E85 the car makes 447WHP. and on 91 that drops to 370WHP. Both tunes are downloaded and available on the Accessport V3. I drive the car on E85 because there is a pump on my way to work. and the acceleration is simply stupendous. dramatic in a way only a lightweight small-displacement forced induction car could be.
Beyond the engine build I have also spent a little time making the experience in the car nicer. An Alpine PDX-V9 amp was installed. as well as Focal KR2 front component speaker/tweeters with crossovers and amp mounted under the driver seat. The rear speakers were upgraded to CDT 5. 25" units. Focal blackhole tiles were added to the doors and a small amount of sound deadening material added to the trunk lid and trunk floor. Wiring for a trunk sub is available. The stereo was upgraded to a Pioneer AVH-X5800 BHS with Bluetooth. Spotify. Pandora. and on-screen Waze support. Oil temperature and pressure gauges were installed with a gauge pod binnacle. Front seats were swapped out for JDM Recaro STi seats. A spec-C roof vent was installed for extra cabin cooling.
One of the more important factors in this build was that the engine was built. installed. and tuned all at the same shop. Thus when you buy this car you are also buying into the wealth of knowledge and resources that is Yimisport and their tuner. Paul. I've spoken with him about selling the car and he is standing by in case any issues surface. The car has been very good under my ownership. and I am looking for someone to carry the mantle going forward.
