The Ninety-Eight is Oldsmobile's full-size top-of-the-line model. The name 98 derives from a Series 90 car powered by an 8 cylinder motor. As the flagship for Oldsmobile. the Ninety-Eight always enjoyed the best and the newest technology. as well as the premium interior and exterior trim packages.

Standard equipment for the Oldsmobile 98 in 1963 included a die-cast front grille. deep pile carpeting. 21-gallon fuel tank. full-flow oil filter. foam seat cushions. foot-operated parking brake. two-speed windshield wipers. special molding package. deluxe steering wheel. map light. heavy duty air cleaner. courtesy lights.
