Classic 1960 Ford 100E / Hotrod

1960 ford 100E Pick up.

This car has been part of our family for over 12 years. The car was purchased as a shell. and has been built from the ground up using mostly competition parts over the years untill it was finally completed in its present state in 2011. and attracts intrest where ever it is seen. I was told that this car is one of a few vehicles that was modified as one of the many apprentice projects at Dagenham in the 1950's . and was built in 1959 and as far as I can find out was registered and has always been a pick-up in 1960. it is  classed as Historic vehicle and as such is Tax and MOT exempt.

the car has the following : 3. 1 ltr Ford Essex genuine Swaymar inlet manifold with Holley 390 carb. competition engine mounts. janspeed tubular exhaust headers. competition electric fuel pump with large bowl fuel filter and holley fuel presure regulator. Large core alloy radiator and catch tanks and MSD ignition

4-speed ford gear box Reco-Propshaft with 105E Axle casing and RS2000 diff.

Brakes are Ford (spaced) M16 calipers with 3ltr capri discs. Green stuff pads. ford 9" rear drums green stuf linings. Tilton racing 7/8" master cylinder and girling remote servo.

Suspension is mounted from a beefed up original chassis and has fully adjustable Gaz coil overs on the front. with adjustable Gaz shocks on the rear.  fully polly-bushed through out. with anti-tramp bars and adjustable Panhard Rod. fully under sealed.

interior is all purpose made and trimmed in black tuck and roll upholstery. black head lining. and roll cage with bars bolting backwards through cab on to pick up bed. and detachable diaganol bar into passenger footwell ( can be removed for passenger comfort). original gauges with supplementry oil and water gauges and  dash mounted 51/2" rev counter.

The tailgate is detachable and features hand pinstripping and copper leaf art work applied by the one and only DDubstyle custom artist .

This car is Fast and ultra reliable and has had what ever it has needed. and I will be very sad to see it go. but I am heavilly into other car projects now. and as the car only covered 270 ( dry)miles last year. it is time for some one else to look after it and use it as it should be used. this car can be driven any where. and will always get admiring attention
