1988 CXA CX25 Prestige - Citroen

A true RARE and UNIQUE Car!!! Sticker price in 1988 was  around $80K (I believe I have the original build/invoice). Less than 100 in the US left!

History: This was the personal car of the President of CXA Intenrational/ CX Auto (US) Mr. Malcolm Langman. I am the second owner. I purchased the car in or around 2009 (from his Son; whom does Citroen restoration work) with 73K miles on the clock and have driven it to its cuurrent mileage of 104K miles. Exremely nice shape for the age.

This car has been maintained by a Citroen mechanic using OEM parts (yes- most parts are still available). Since purchase I have performed (but not limited to) the following mainteance (aside from normal oil and trans fluid changes):

Complete hydraulic fluid change and flush (green fluid always) New tires Refurbished Rims (downsized to 14" rather than 15" so I could purchase US spec tires). Period correct headlights New Radiator & hoses New exhaust (rearword of the catalytic converter) All rubber hydrauic lines under the hood replaced New Brakes (front were done a few months ago- back needs to be done. I have the pads) Drive belts changed Replaced Axel boot covers (driver side; forget if I had done passenger side?) Electrical upgrade done by my mechanic (again citroen mechanic) Bosch Battery - 2009 and so on and so on and so on. have receipts for almost everything!

Currently the car starts and runs normally. The car rises and lowers as normal. All electrics work as they should (the clock fades in and out sometimes but temp gauge does work!).

The bad: There is either a CV joint issue or a transmission issue (while in forward motion you hear a thud from the driver side/left wheel). Once I heard that - I stopped driving the car (as I did not want to make it worse). Since. the car has sat under a cover in my driveway. I start it every other week- get it to temp and then recover. She starts right up every time! ** I would not drive her as is- a tow would be highly recommended upon pickup (I will not be responsible for damage caused by the pruchaser if they choose to drive her home). **

Additonal items: minimal rust in normal areas (sunroof. trunk lid and trunk area; is is very normal). Cruise Control does not work (brain is bad- unable to find a replacement). oil level gauge works at times (this unfortuantely is normal for these cars). Gas gauge flickers (I put in a new sending unit a year ago- made it better than it was). front bumper paint is peeling (never prepped  right from the factory). 2 seams pulled on the back seat. I am sure there are some other small things but this is not a new car.

New Fuel Pressure regulator (Bosch)
New OEM Gas and Oil level gague (never got around to replacing the one in the dash;see above comment)
Original Headlights (US Spec)
Car Cover (outdoor use)
Foot rests (for back seat)
Spare tire is in the trunk as I have a matching 14" on the original steel rim)

Cash or Certified Bank Check (check must fully clear before I release the car). I don't really need to sell this. oh. I do have the title in hand and most if not all of the paperwork on all of the work done to the car from my purchase (IMPORTANT !!!).

This car is described to the best of my recollection. Any error is purely accidental and I am not to be held resposbsilbe for such omissions or errors. This car is being listed elsewhere so I reserve to pull this when I see fit. This car is being sold as-is. where-is with no warranties expressed or implied.
