BMW isetta bubble car 1956 LHD Moto Coupe

Unfortunately selling as I have to build a new house and will lack my current time and storage so it simply has to go.

We bought it while living in Germany in 19. 99 a fantastic city car great fuel consumption and no one minded you zipping through the traffic. not even the cyclists. really great fun.

I have recently fitted reconditioned a engine 300cc and gearbox. Engine is nearly run in and gear box is excellent.

It is an original very sought after 4 wheeler with the original bubble shape and a 1956 so very early. mot and tax free car. you only have to pay the £60 or less insurance Completely drivable and currently on the road.

I have a new rear window that I was going to fit when I sorted the rust on the front wings. the sunroof is very good but fitted in 1999 still watertight  both German isetta club parts; rear window with its correct markings.

Comes with its original 250cc engine as a spare.

All new interior cards. tyres . headlamp reflectors as well.

Seat belts fitted.

Has a scratch on front windscreen but have a replacement included in sale.

Original paper work but registered in the UK.

I can deliver in the UK but would like local pick up.

 Exhaust is quite new but not very good because it rattles. can be repaired but the heat exchanger on the other hand is very good and will last a long time.

 It does have a few dents that I never bothered to body filler out as I don't like body filler because the steel generally rusts under neath.

Have added a photo of floor as its solid original and never been welded as is parcel shelf and rear firewall. Included is the door spring compensator that I don't  use its has a gas strut because they are better for the door and work properly. Also a Jack for jacking it up. Included is a spare door thats not dented and very good condition considering its age and it never been restored. if a little dirty. this I was given and have been storing ever since the door on the car is dented and has rust at the base. The seat is original with springs and horse hair stuffing and original upholstery under the blue cover.

When I bought the car in germany I stripped the car completely and replaced many parts sourced from the isetta club ev they have most parts and of very high quality  Fuel tank was also bought and is still in excellent condition. The car itself unlike the Uk version has very good handling as the engine is on opposite side to the driver and 4 wheels not the usual 3.  We did drive the car from berlin to the uk and back. it was fun but a little cramped. We used the car in Germany for a few years and it never had a problem with the mot as the suspension steering brakes etc were also overhauled. also in germany they use less salt on the roads and I never used it in the Uk during the winter.  It has an extra under floorpan installed to prevent rust this can be quickly removed also the rear wheels have extra complete wheel arches to prevent water etc from spraying over the engine. gearbox. chain drive. fuel tank. etc I will include a photo if I can get the angle correct. the extra wheel arches floorpan's  can be simply removed without damage to the car so it can be returned to original or in the event of road side repairs.
