1974 Ford Gran Torino in Starsky and Hutch livery. This is a lovely car in lovely condition. I imported this beauty early last year(2012). it spent its whole life in California so has not suffered from winters. alt and snow hence its solid rust free condition. It is a genuine Gran Torino and not a brougham with welded over opera windows as so many copies are. It is showing around 51000 miles which I would say is without doubt genuine. Original factory fitted 5. 8 litre 351 Cleveland V8 engine and 3 speed auto transmission. The Cleveland option was only fitted to earlier produced 65d models. it has higher compression and produces more power than the Windsor more commonly fitted and is popular for easily increasing horse power and performance. It is a bench seat car with steering column gear selection. The interior is factory black. It is an original factory air con car however it needs converting for R134 gas so does not work at present. The car has MOT until mid September 2014 and has 3 months tax. The car is registered on an "L" plate and I have the V5 log book in my name The following mechanical work has recently  been carried out- New interior seats retrim New carpets New wiper motor New wheel brake cylinders New brake master cylinder New rubber brake hoses New ball joints New outer tie rod ends New pitman arm New tyres all round New fuel lift pump New spark plugs and leads New remanufactured original motocraft ecu. electronic ignition brain . engine oil and filter change Transmission oil change and rear diff oil change. New dual pipe exhaust system just fitted from manifolds back including Flowmaster 40 series mufflers giving it that proper v8 rumble. (not in pics or vids) The lights have been converted for full legal road use in the UK The car is in excellent condition and does everything it should. it starts and runs very well with no issues. smoke or anything untoward. It is in dodge viper red with the tv series style stripe. it is fitted with polished vintage period correct deep dish 5 slot alloy wheels. 15 inch on the rear and 14 inch on the front. All the chrome is in good condition and polishes up nicely. though if you wanted to make spot on I would re-chrome the bumpers.   It is not perfect . t is 39 years old. there are little bits and bobs to do that would be the finishing touches but all round it is lovely. Please no time wasters or photo collectors. no silly offers. The first serious viewer will buy the car. I am confident of that. This is a turn key car ready to go.
